Our Youth Pastors wife's Grandpa passed away. I decided to break out some of my Rub ons to see if they were still good and sure enough they worked great, although I wish I had planned it out better, I much rather have put the sentiment on top, but it worked better under the butterfly since I went too high with it. The tag is one my sister gave to me awhile ago and thought it worked nice here. The paper was perfect with it too, I tried going for a masculine feel to the card.
The framing was already on the tag so I just added the butterfly and sentiment. I had just the right amount of ribbon left as long as I was able to tie it with a piece of string I had.

I thought I would also share some pics from an evening we went to a Peabody Natural area that isn't very far from us.
The thistles were very thick and all though they are very prickly I think they look so cool as they are opening up.
When we drove down to the water there was a Heron, I tried to get him from the road before he flew away and this is the best pic I got of him.
I was driving and as we were heading back out I saw something to the side of the road and stopped the van and this is what I saw, two little rabbits, you could tell they were nervous but one of them was very interested in eating something and so he didn't mind me taking his picture.
Hope you all enjoy a wonderful weekend!
Thanks for stopping by,
Connie

Have a lovely Sunday
This is a lovely card with a beautiful sentiment at this sad time, Connie. Love your photos. The thistle ones are fabulous. Sweet little bunnies, too.
I love the black and cream color scheme and the way you did your ribbon -- tied with a piece of string around the middle! I need to remember that for future use!
crafts are awesome....
thank you for sharing beautiful views
The card is perfect...Thank you for sharing your lovely pictures.Blessings!
I have always loved a tag on a card, this is a beautiful sympathy card. Great pics too! So far the bunnies are eating our plush lawn and staying out of my gardens....but soon the heat of the summer will turn all of that plush green into a Cape Cod lawn, brown and crunchy lol
Your card is beautiful and the banner placement looks good to me. It's a nice masculine thinking of you card. Masculine, but pretty. I don't know that I've ever seen thistle in this stage before. It's very unusual and striking. Beautiful deep pink with the green. Of course, I love your darling bunnies, too. They look to be a pretty good size. All the bunnies around here stay mainly in the beach areas. Seems odd, but they must find something good to eat there.
I love the sweet tag with the pretty butterfly. Such an elegant look Connie. The argyle background looks great. Pretty nature pictures. I love God's creations!
Oooo I like this tag-card Connie~ It is beautifully done. I think it turned out perfect! (you never know about rub-ons; they can dry out)
Lovely as a sympathy card.
Thanks for sharing a few 'nature' pics too! Love both thistles and bunnies! Aren't they pretty?! Hugs, karen o

LOVED the flower and nature pictures, you are a natural with the camera!! i think the big bird is an egret, they are white and i think the bird you photographed is white!!!
those thistles are gorgeous!!!
A very nice card with a masculine feel.
I did enjoy seeing your photographs.
All so lovely to see, especially the rabbits.
All the best Jan
Beautiful card, Connie, and wonderful use of materials! Glad the rub ons still work. I especially like the two types of ribbon. The colors in the thistles look incredible! The first photo almost looks like an alien from a syfy movie! Thanks for sharing the nature photographs. Hugs,de
