Water color wildflowers

I just had to try water coloring these wildflowers for another Autumn birthday card, I don't want Autumn to end can you tell :)

I cut the flowers from water color paper and just loosely painted them, I really like how it turned out, I used distress inks for my coloring, I put the ink onto my palette and then add a bit of water to it and then painted it on.  I used some foam tape to lift some of the flowers to give it a bit of dimension.

Tim Holtz - Funky Florals #3 and Wildflowers #2 watercolored using distress inks

We had some rough storms go through last night, Tornado watches and warnings, we had a funnel that was between our town and the one south of us but luckily it didn't touch down as far as I have heard. All last night and today we are having 60 mph gusts, so quite windy, lets just say it was hard getting sleep last night.  Thankful this wasn't a winter storm it would have been terrible.

Hope you all are well and thanks so very much for taking the time to stop by and say Hi.

Oh Connie you've outdone yourself with this beautiful card. Your watercolouring is gorgeous!

Here in Sarnia, we have big winds too and I agree if it was snow we'd be in trouble.

OMG that weather sounds horrible and we here in NE OHIO are expecting those 60 mph winds later today! I'll be hiding in my cave this evening I think!
This card is awesome and LOVE the dimension you've achieved! Great job! Stay safe and Happy Thanksgiving!!

Hi, Connie! You should like the way they came out because your watercoloring is superb! It's a byond-gorgeous card! I love the contrasting pretty greens and lavenders against the autumnal colors. We are all so blessed to have weather technology that forewarns us of impending dangerous weather. Glad the tornados did not touch down! Wishing you a happy Thanksgiving! hugs, de

Oh wow!! Your flowers are beautiful, Connie...dreaming of Spring, perhaps. =) This is a stunning card. You certainly have wild weather conditions up there in the USofA. So glad that your town escaped the dreadful weather.

I don't want it to end, either, but I think it has finally happened, even if not yet official. How beautiful your card is, Connie! Your love of fall shows in it!
