Sharing a couple cards I made before Christmas that never made it to a post. First for a great nephew who is 15, wow are these cards hard for me to do, especially when I don't know them really well. I went with a background I had made for a challenge in my stamp group some time ago, I believe it was spreading paint with a credit card, I really need to write on the back of these so I can remember the techniques. I added part of a word search stamp instead of using the whole thing for the sentiment and high lighted my sentiment, and added a few die cut balloons using my sparkle paper. Added a bit of string for the balloons and tied in a knot and added some border stickers along the sentiment.

The next was for my great niece who I believe has turned 20. I used some scraps for my background and added the Dazzle stickers to it. I love this sentiment for someone who is starting off their life as an adult, so much of their life ahead of them. I backed the butterfly with some paper and popped it up a bit.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,

Very cool credit card background. I think these cards are great.
party time is so cute, a really clever design!!
and i love the other...especially the butterfly!! i am starting to have trouble keeping track of the nieces and nephews ages too, i always use to remember!! i like "blossom and grow", that's cute!!
Hi Connie, I love the techniques you used in both these cards. The word search adds an interesting touch. Love it! Hope you enjoy a wonderful New Year!
So nice that you send cards to nephews and nieces! These two are awesome!
I love what you did with the credit card swipe background. I still have a couple of those around. The sentiment sticker for your grand niece is lovely for that age.
I think both of these cards look good - great ideas.
All the best Jan
