Thinking of you

More cards for my friend she asked if I could do a couple Thinking of you cards too, so I did very similar layouts on these cards. On the first card I cut out of white cardstock then colored the die cuts and put the little pieces back into the center of the flower, the leaves had a bit of inking on them too.

  • Memory Box - Zinnia Bouquet and Distressed Baptisia collage dies
  • Stampendous - Orchid Greetings stamp set

This second one I just cut the flowers out of Vellum, I added them to the background by putting a little bit of glue on my craft mat and then taking a sponge and dipping it in the glue, and sponging off a little to the side and then sponging the glue onto the back of the vellum, it dried pretty clear and I can't see the glue as much that way, but you want to make sure you use a glue that dries clear, I used the Nuvo glue.

  • Memory Box - Bella Bouquet and Distressed Baptisia Collage dies
  • My Sentiments Exactly - Thinking of you sentiment stamp

We went to Michigan this past weekend, I didn't get any pictures, even of family, I totally forgot, so sad. It was so Hot that we even didn't do our normal go somewhere for the last day, we just came straight home.
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,

Connie

the cards are so pretty, you are so kind to do this for your friend. sorry about the heat, it is everywhere and has been intolerable. we are in the middle of a "heat wave" right now but last week we had cool temperatures at night. temperatures where you could open your windows!! summer is so hard...there is so much to do and the heat often ruins it!!

Your Friend is blessed to have you and your talents. It has been a crazy summer hasn't it? Really hot or really hazy from the smoke. Ugh! Hopefully there will be lots of beautiful clear days this Fall.

Lovely cards, Connie and I'm sure your friend loved them, too! This has been such a long, hot summer and it just zaps all the energy out of you. Too bad about the photos, but I have done the same thing so many times. Sometimes all you want to do is enjoy the moments. xx K

As much as I miss being outside, I am extremely comfortable being inside with AC on during the summer months. Beautiful cards. I specially love the second one. Good to know about the glue. So much better when it dries clear.
