Teen Birthday and Michigan

It is so hard for me to do older teen boy cards, my great nephew turned 17, I was coming up blank so I went for the boy paper pack I have and let that do most of the work for me, just added some stamped leaves and sentiment and it was done.

I love how you can add multiple colors using the Misti stamping tool, and if you don't get it right the first time it will line up perfectly for the next time to try it again!

Recollections -- Awesome Boy paper
Studio G -- It's your day and leaves stamps
Distress Oxide inks -- Wild Honey and Spiced Marmalade on leaves

I thought I should probably get to sharing more of the pictures that I took on our little trips we have been taking, I still haven't finished with our trip out west but since it is fall I thought I had better get those shared will it is still fall.

Today's pictures are from Port Huron Michigan.  The land you see on the other side of the port is Canada and the Blue Water bridge is what takes you over to Canada, we don't have passports so we didn't end up going over there.

It really fascinates me how big these ships are, and it was perfect to get the birds in the shots too :)

They really have a pretty walk along the port there, I love walking along the water and they have it all paved so it isn't as hard to walk through as sand :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!

Fairy

I don't really know if this is Autumn themed but it does have fall colors.  The stamp and embossing folder are from another Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine, I did get another subscription so you will probably be seeing more, plus I bought more at the yard sale at my stamp store.

I decided to use my sparkle markers on this one, Fairies have to sparkle, right? I also used it on the embossing folder to highlight the centers of the flowers, the tag came from another set but thought it worked well with this.

I took a few side shots to try and show the sparkle and this one seemed to be the best of them, the ink on the dress smeared a little bit.

Have you tried the new sparkle pens, I see Nuvo has their own sparkle pens now too, oh my.

I am linking this card with Sisterhood of Crafters, Let the sparkle fly challenge.

Hope your week is off to a good start.
I appreciate the time you take out to stop by and say Hi :)

Autumn woods

I think we have been going on so many Autumn trips here lately that it has given me plenty of inspiration for cardmaking :)  I had planned on posting this on Thursday but my hubby had off Thursday and Friday so he said we should run over to Branson Missouri and see how the colors are in that area of the Ozarks, so off we went, even though I always have fun and enjoy looking at the fall colors I can honestly say I am ready to be home for awhile.

Here is another card using the Mega flakes on the frame, I just love the colors in this Autumn Blaze.

I did a little sponging with the tumbled glass distress ink on the back of my cardstock before putting together the scene to give a bit of sky color to the background. Also did some inking on the diecuts and added some white dots to the deer.

Poppystamps -- Thicket frame and stitched landscape dies
Indigoblu - Autumn blaze mega flakes on frame
Taylored Expressions -- Evergreens die
Memory Box - Valley deer trio and birds die

Wishing you a fabulous weekend!!
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today and letting me know you have!

Cabin

I have had these leaves left over from other projects on my desk for awhile now and instead of putting them somewhere that I would never find them again, I decided it was time to use them, I searched through my stamps and decided to use this cabin, but instead of coloring it I decided to just emboss it with copper embossing powder to go along with the leaves that had been done with mega flakes. A little bit of  sponge inking inside the die before removing.

Stampscapes - Cabin 140E, embossed w/copper embossing powder
Ms. Sparkle & co. - Fall paper

Autumn arrangement

This is certainly my favorite time of year and there are a few challenges out there that I would like to link my creation with today.

Double D challenge- Feeling Fallish
DiesRUs anything fall
Cropstop October challenge

Tim Holtz -- Wood Grain embossing folder
Spellbinder -- Fall Foliage die set
My Favorite things - Essential sentiment stamp set

I used my brayer to add ink to the embossing folder before embossing to get the background color. Cut the leaves out of paper I had made from Colorburst that was in my stash.
I added some white ink to the embossed areas of the pinecone to bring that out. Shading with ink on all the rest.  Added a little jute bow and the sentiment was embossed with white embossing powder.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today!!
