Monkey around

We are getting alot of rain this morning, last night I was awaken to quite the loud bang of thunder, but we really could use the rain.

Todays card is for a preteen boy, they are so hard to make for, I found these dies from a scrapbooking calendar from a few years back and thought it would work well. I popped up the monkey and balloon and mounted them on a Spellbinders Label 8.

Papers are from the Sassafras Count me in pack.  Hero Arts Birthday messages stamp set for sentiment and the punched border is by Martha Stewart Zig Zag punch.

I have spent the last couple of days carpet cleaning and does it ever feel nice to have it all done and clean.  I usually try to do that in the spring time but with my daughter getting married that was put on hold.  Now if I can just get myself to go in my Craft room and organize it now instead of making another card I will be doing good :)

Thanks so much for stopping by,
Connie

Hey Connie, girl, this is such a fun card!! Love that silly monkey...so cute! I hear you about the rain. I have been complaining that it rains every day, but my DH keeps saying that our water levels are so low, we need it to rain..so I guess I stay inside and create...hehe! Hugs and blessings, Sabrina

You can share the rain if you like. We're in the 90's still. My DD is going to college in Ill. and has been bragging about the storms. She knows how much I like them, but we just don't get good storms in CA. What a cute and fun card too.

Very cute monkey and it is perfect for that age. The border punch with the stripes of color are really nice accents!

Congrats on the carpet cleaning! Things like that can make such a difference (and make you feel happy!) once they are done!
