Our Daily Bread designs is having another challenge on their blog you can find it here .
This is an easy one you just use any of their stamps. I needed a quick card for my husbands Uncle who just suffered a heart attack and can't have surgery until he can get his kidneys functioning well. I thought this sentiment and image would be perfect for him.
I used Keep My Lamp Burning stamp set from Our Daily Bread designs. Stamped with Brown Momento ink onto BasicGrey Kioshi paper. Sentiment is from same stamp set and both have been layered onto black cardstock. I distressed the image a little bit.
Spellbinder Curved Rectangles for sentiment.
BasicGrey Kraft paper pad for the background paper
Rhinestones on two corners from Michaels.
Good news they are saying we may have a break from these temps on Sunday and have a chance of rain on Monday, we so need it around here. We have had 3 straight days of record breaking temps and my Thermometer says 110 at 5:30 pm, we are even setting records for record lows for the evenings. I can't imagine what the people out east are doing with no power and I feel for those who have lost their homes in the fires in Colorado.
Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by,
Connie

Hi Connie
I have family in Ohio that don't have any power it's miserable for them. I can't imagine being that hot and no air, wait yes I can it happened to me before it's no fun. We are getting the heat our way now it will be moving into 100 this weekend. Your card is very pretty. I have not made a card for a man yet. This weekend is our anniversary and I still have to give him a store bought card. Have a great weekend Hugs
Hi Connie, this is a lovely card for your H's uncle, and so quick and simple. The verse on it is lovely too. I hope he improves, so Drs can help him with surgery.
I'm sitting here listening to really loud, heavy rain again on our conservatory roof while I type, but temp is just nice.
I'm not keen on the kind of heat your experiencing I don't think I've felt it quite as hot as that. The worst was in 2003 it reached around 105.F when we were down in England on holiday. I could have happily stayed in a cold shower all day. We ended up in a shopping mall with air con' and didn't want to come out. I hope you get cooler temp's soon. Have a good weekend.
such a pretty card Connie.I do hope it cools down a little over there.take care!
Oh, how pretty Connie. Love that lighthouse image. The brown looks great. Aslo like the blings... just the right amount. Have a wonderful weekend.
Beautiful card, Connie. Hope that husband's uncle is able to get the surgery that he needs soon.
Beautiful image and card, Connie!
Hugs and smiles
