Sympathy

Both our Adult Sunday School teachers lost family members just before Christmas and these are the cards I made for them.

First our female teacher lost her Grandmother.

Spellbinders -- a2 matting basics A, A2 distressed Edges dies
DCWV -- Primrose papers (image)
Hero Arts -- Everyday sayings sentiment stamp
Heidi Swapp -- Bling colored w/markers

Our male teacher lost his Father.

Stampendous-- Sincere sentiments stamp
K&co. -- Flora & Fauna diecut cardstock and vellum pack
Graphic 45 -- Steampunk debutante paper (black background paper)

It is COLD today, we received at least 14 inches of snow yesterday and it has drifted high in places, it was blowing so hard that all that I shoveled just flew back, still windy today but we need to try and tackle some of this snow today.  We are at -4 right now with a wind chill of -35, it hasn't been like this in 20 odd years I guess in this area.

They have cancelled or closed almost everything around here, but since my husband is an essential worker on base he had to go in yesterday, well he got stuck trying to leave so his boss came with his big SUV and picked him up for work.  The plows still haven't made it down our road yet so he may have to pick him up again for work today.  I am just so thankful that the kids ended up leaving a day early and made it home safely without any bad weather.  If you are impacted by these storms and cold temps, I hope you don't have to go anywhere and can stay home and safe.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by,
Connie

Each card is ideal for its purpose. The first is exceptionally beautiful with the Primrose paper, and the second is very serene and soothing. A good masculine card. I couldn't imagine having to go out in that weather at all. Whenever it snows here (which is rare) we're never prepared for it -- no snow tires or chains so it's difficult to drive in. I only live about 5 minutes from work, but even then it can be hazardous. Stay as cozy as you can!

Dear Connie,
Praying the card brings the comfort needed!
Good to hear that you are safe inside. Came to know through our news papers that it is a violent snow this time in 20 years. Praying for you all.
