I cut down a piece of brick embossing folder to make the fireplace, I inked a background piece of cardstock (sorry I forgot to write down the colors I used) and added the cut out shapes and layered the fire and logs on top then put it behind the embossed piece.

Stay warm in your next round of winter weather. We are raining today with temps in the 40's and very windy. For us we are freezing. Old man winter is giving us a taste of what we missed all winter. We need the rain, just not the cold. haha

Wow! This is so fabulous! It does make me feel all warm and cozy. We have some comfy fireplace seating (no antlers, though) and this reminds me of it. Love sitting there with a book. It's actually a fireplace with a pellet stove insert. Anyway...sidetracked for a moment...you came up with a great idea for your nephew!
I seem to look through the keyhole of a living room with its lit fireplace ... It's simply wonderful !

Oh Connie, that is the cutest guy card ever! It is so creative and my late beloved would've loved it since he was an avid outdoorsman.
