My Son in laws mother lost her sister to cancer and I wanted to send her a card. I found these little coloring messages at our Base Exchange, it was the last set and they have encouraging sentiments and some bible verses, I thought this one was a good verse.
These cards are made out of a very heavy cardstock, almost a board feel to them, the surface seemed a little slick to me, so I don't know how watercolor would do but my Specturm Noir alcohol markers worked fine. They measure 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 inches. You can't see it in these pictures but I put a bit of glitter pen on the wings and center of the flowers. I added the die cut around it, thought it gave a garden feel to it.
Creative Expressions -- to calm and inspire images, colored w/markers
Spellbinder -- Lattice Rectangle die
Martha Stewart -- Swirling lace border punch
Recollections -- Iridescent rhinestones
Wink of stella-- clear glitter pen
We went to a lake near by and were able to take some pictures of Geese and their babies yesterday, I haven't had a chance yet to download them, hopefully I got some good pictures, if I did I will share them next time.
Hope you all have a wonderful, fun and creative weekend,
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,
Connie

Very pretty sympathy card. I like how well that Martha Stewart punch goes with that die. I agree that is a nice verse for a sympathy card too. TFS!

Hi Connie, The card you designed will be a comfort. Such a pretty and peaceful design for a sympathy card and your creativity is beautiful. Sounds like you enjoyed a nice time at the lake. Have a great weekend. Blessings xo
So sorry to hear of his loss. BUT, this beautiful card of yours will surely bring them comfort. These are difficult to make, yet probably one of the most important cards to create. This is GORGEOUS!!!
Oh, dear Connie, I'm so sorry to learn of the loss of your SIL's mother's sister (I'm assuming his aunt). It's such an awful disease that strikes so many. This is a gorgeous card, and it will surely bring her comfort and will touch her knowing you made it just for her. Your design is beautiful, and I love this Scripture verse. Beautiful coloring for your butterflies and flowers! Looking forward to more photos of your visit to the lake! Hugs, sweet friend, and enjoy your weekend!
Oh, Connie, this is an absolutely lovely card for a very sad occasion. Such a pretty image and colored so well with your markers. I'll be looking forward to your geese photos.
Your card is beautiful and perfect for the sad occasion. I love the MS punch you have used, it makes such a dainty border. It's not one I've seen before here in the UK.
I love the blue and yellow together! Feels so warm and sunny!
