Cut away card

I love changing cards up by using different shapes and such and when I came across this card on Pinterest I just had to give it a try.  You can find the card HERE.  She did a whole set just beautiful!!

Here is my version

I cut the base 4 1/4 by 11 inches, then scored the card at 5 1/2 inches, cut half way up the card to the score line and then down the score to my cut line.  I used diecut  flowers that I shaped with my stylus and pad and added the punched leaves.  There was still room on the inside to write a sentiment :)

Here it is laying down so you can see what it looks like closed.

Spellbinders -- Carnation creation dies
Martha Stewart -- leaf punch
Paper smooches -- Happy Birthday stamp sentiment
Bazzill -- Brads on flowers
Gems

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today, Hope your enjoying a nice weekend.

Very nice, understated but sweet. You sculpted the flowers well, it's a clever effect.

It's fun to do something different with the fold now and then, but I never think of it. Love this idea! Your colors and papers are so pretty. I've always loved the chocolate and sage combo.
