Many of them use reinkers, I used Alcohol inks and instead of the rubbing alcohol I used alcohol blending solution. I didn't use enough blending solution I think, but I love the way they turned out.
Now for what I made with them. I stamped onto them using Stazon ink since they are done on glossy cardstock. The first one is the one I finished for the challenge.
I just love how colorful it makes the flowers without having to color them.

The next one I just finished finally and Love this one too. After stamping and cutting it out the ends curled and I started to try and flatten them but when I laid against the card I liked that look so I kept the ends curled and applied foam adhesive to the back to give it a little dimension.

Lovely cards! The white backgrounds work so well with the pretty polished stone focal points. I really like this second card I hadn't seen before. The curling up edges works nicely to add dimension!
Both are so beautiful and festive. I love using alcohol inks for backgrounds but don't use them often enough for stamped images or dies like you did. They turned out perfect! Really love the second card.

I love what you did with the technique, Connie! And I love using my inks in this fashion. However, I am Staz-on challenged! No matter what I do, the ink does not stay on top of the paper! It always pulls itself back off onto the stamp. I've even had people watch me, and it still happens, but not to them! LOL However, you have me thinking that maybe I should just use VersaMark and EP, so that I can still enjoy the beauty that technique brings to cardmaking! Well, first of all... gorgeous cards, Connie! You really outdid yourself with these with all that pristine white and the beautiful stamps. Flawless cutting. I like the curl on the holly leaves, and the sequins for berries. Seriously, "gorgeous" hardly covers it! Love, LOVE the embossing folders you used, especially the first card. Now... funny you should bring up the polished stone technique. The other day I mentioned I was thinking of acetate window, but I was also thinking of polished stone. This is one of the few techniques I used to enjoy doing. I found a finished background when I was clearing my stamp room. I've always used reinkers and 91% alcohol. I usually didn't add gold, but now that I have gold watercolor paint I might like to splatter some on there. See, there you go being all inspiring again. Happy Thanksgiving, Connie!
You know of all the times I've done this technique I've never stamped an image and die cut it. After seeing your awesome creations I'm seriously questioning myself! These are simply gorgeous and the depth, dimension and shine from the polished stone technique is amazing. Thanks for sharing, you've inspired me!
