My childhood friend who lived next door, recently went through surgery, and I had remembered these Acetate images that I found at the yard sale at the stamp store. You can find the booklet of these HERE. As you can see I did one that was on the cover but I changed it up a bit.
If you are having problems with applying your acetate to things I really suggest you getting a Xyron machine, I have the 5", 3" and the little sticker machine, I used the 3" one with these and it worked perfectly, you can see any of the tape :)
I took the first picture of it laying down so you can see it closed.

I really like window cards and these acetate elements with them are a neat touch.

I didn't get many good pictures of this town but I thought I would share, San Luis Colorado, it is the oldest city.
I just loved the detail on this lamp post with the flag of the town.
Very cool dimensional Mural on the side of the building above and another painted one below.
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today, love hearing from you!

Your cards are marvelous, Connie! For some reason, I never thought about using acetate or vellum images to create dimension and beautiful layered look like these have. FANTASTIC design ideas, and I hope to incorporate some of them with vellum. Thank you, too, for the tip about the xyron machine. I often forget about it, and I have 3 machine sizes! LOL Your travel photos, as always, are so full of life and color! Thank you for sharing them. love, de

Connie, what a gorgeous card! I've not heard of that machine before. I'll have to google it. Love your vacation pictures. ♥
What a beautiful card you made for your friend, a real piece of art! I think the Xyron machine would make it much easier to use acetate, I have a small one that does a great job. The pictures of San Luis, CO are lovely, what a neat mural to see on the wall of the building! Your friend will really appreciate the thoughtful gesture of your card :)
What a stunning card. So detailed. Lots of love and work into the making of this for your school friend.

Oh, wow! Beautiful card with lovely details. I didn't know about the Xyron working so well with acetate, so thanks for that tip! Beautiful photos of San Luis. The art work, both painted and 3D is totally amazing. I especially love the covered wagon and horses.
