Two more challenges in my stamp group, this time using Liquid Pearls through a stencil and Mother of Pearl technique.
I think my paper was a bit bowed after die cutting so when I laid the stencil on top and using a piece of card to swipe the pearls across the stencil a bit of it went under the stencil, After coloring and cutting out of my snowman I looked at it again and thought it looked ok to use as the backdrop of my snowman. One of the girls gifted me some "snow" so I cut some scortape into hills and added it to the base and applied the snow on top, I love the stuff she sent it is so much finer than the stuff I had bought.
Spellbinders -- Labels 8 die
Tim Holtz- Dot fade stencil
Liquid Pearls -- White opal
Snow from friend
Penny Black -- Jolly follies stamp, colored w/markers
Craft magazine -- sentiment stamp
So excited I have another Christmas card done :)
The next technique is adding the Liquid pearl with a scrunched up piece of Cling wrap to the cardstock and after it is dry, blending ink over it. I hope you can see it this was my 3rd attempt, didn't like the other ones, this was nice and soft and pretty. I used my die to emboss, no cutting, so I could have a frame around the flowers but you could still see the background.
This stamp was given to me and has no name, if you know the maker, please let me know :)
Liquid pearls - White opal for background, inked over with Spun sugar Distress ink
Flower stamp - Unknown, colored w/markers and fussy cut
Memory Box -- Stitched Rectangle layers die -- embossed only to frame
Spellbinders -- Ribbon tags trio die set
Gina Marie stamps - Birthday words sentiment stamp set
Wishing you a great weekend!! Thanks for stopping by,
Connie

How amazing! Both cards are pretty and sweet.Hugs, dear friend!
Your liquid pearl cards both turned out so well. I really like that snowman! He is so cute!
Good morning Connie, your latest creations are very nice. Both techniques sound a bit difficult to me but I really like the effects. Nicely done my friend! Have a nice weekend!
Connie, it's always a pleasure to drop by and see what you are up to. Like you, I enjoy my "happy mistakes" (don't get me started on my unhappy mistakes, tho) LOL. I thought you planned for the Liquid Peals to radiate the way they do on your background - it looks planned, and probably even better than it would have otherwise! I have smooshed my pearls around to create interesting effects, but never used them with a stencil. GENIUS! Such a beautifully sparkle-full card, too! Thanks for sharing this happy snowman.
Your roses birthday card is AMAZING! The fussy cutting leaves me marveling at all the tiny intricacies around the leaves - great job! Beautifully done.
Have a great week-end! hugs, de
Connie, I love all things snowmen and yours looks so adorable! I've not used liquid pearls before but I now know I need to! Such gorgeous cards.
One of the things I love about your cards, Connie is the different and amazing techniques you use. Every single card, every single time is unique and so darn clever. =) And.....these two cards are no exception....both are just so cool!
Awesome work on your liquid pearl technique. Love it with the snowman. Your vibrant flowers really pop. Beautiful work. Have a nice weekend Connie.
p.s. I have a new computer and don't have the url to Artsy Inkers. Could you please send it to me?
Cool techniques, I never would have even thought of either of them. Pretty cards, I love how your snowman one turned out.
Two gorgeous designs Connie, your snowman is adorable and love the colors of the flowers.
Hugs diane
Both cards are stunning, my friend, but that little snowman is just too cute :)
It's a joy to visit you this evening....I have missed seeing your creations. Hugs!
Super cards, I just love the snowman though, he’s so cute!
adorable snowguy and pretty flower cards Connie!
both of these cards are so special!!!
i adore the snowman but it is hard to favor that over the purple flowers...so let''s call it a tie!!!
It had been so long since I worked with Liquid Pearls I gave them all away. You are really bringing back the beauty of them with these cards! I like the effect of the partially smeared background for the cute snowman, and those purple flowers -- wow! I don't know the maker of the stamp, but it sure is gorgeous. Your cutting is so perfect it looks like you had a matching die.
Love both of the cards Connie ...
All the best Jan
Oh, I love the liquid pearl techniques. The 'snowy' background looks good... and the silver snow is amazing! Gorgeous flowers on the second card. The touch of lp looks lovely on the background.
