Anniversary

Sharing another stamp from the yard sale find.  This is a wood mount stamp and all it says is Magenta.  My daughter and her hubby celebrated an anniversary a few days after they left here but we had an early celebration here :)

After coloring and deciding to stamp a sentiment on the inside of the heart,  I cut the heart out and started searching my goodies for what to put behind it, and I found a doily a friend had given me a few years back that I had been saving, decided to finally use it, aren't you ever proud of me :)

Magenta stamp, colored w/markers
Impression Obsession - Sentiments II stamp set
Sassafras - Mix and Mend paper
Crochet Doily
Kaiser - Yellow rhinestones
Martha Stewart - Green gems

Do you have a stash at home that you just keep and admire but never use?  I am trying to break that habit very slowly :)

Have a great week ahead,
Thanks so much for stopping by,

Connie

It seems to me your daughter and SIL's anniversary was the perfect occasion to use your pretty doily. This is a lovely card. Though sometimes it is hard to use our stash of pretties, I always think it is a most excellent thing to share them with others. =)

That stamp is gorgeous and I love the roses in yellow. The doily is so fancy, it makes an extra special card. I am glad you were able to celebrate their anniversary before they left.

Beautiful and I'm sure 'the kids' loved it!! Silly girl ... OF COURSE I have stash that gets more admiration than use! You wouldn't be a dedicated crafter if you didn't! LOL And yes, I too need to break that habit ... just need to figure out the best way to do that! Any suggestions are welcomed! lol

Magenta used to make such pretty stamps and this is certainly one of them! Great find and good for you putting it to work. The doily looks pretty, too. Perfect card size! Oh, my stash... if it's out of sight, it's sometimes out of mind, but now and then I pull open a drawer and am delighted all over again. Your doily reminds me I have an applique somewhere that I wanted to use on a card. Thanks, Connie!

I love this pretty stamp. You colored it well. It was a great thought to use the doily behind it.

The doily is beautiful and makes the perfect background for your gorgeous flower.
I have lots of items like that myself which I really should use!

Wowza, what a beautiful anniversary card. The doily is so perfect. I just bought some paper ones at an SU sale from my demo and I'm not sure how to use them yet. You obviously do--with the real thing.

Hi, Connie! Your crocheted doily is fabulous against the sunny background on your beautiful stamp. Your DD must have been thrilled, and so pleased by the extra time spent on her pretty card. I have many Magenta stamps - among my favorite companies when I first began stamping - so they need to be "drug out" and enjoyed! Thank you for the lovely inspiration. Wishing you a great week! hugs, de
