Beautiful Fall

I just love this corner die and don't use it often enough, when I saw Poppystamps Falling leaves and scary things challenge I decided to break it out and use it, now that I just went back to the challenge I realized that it didn't say Falling leaves or scary things but AND, oh well I will share the link with you if you want to play along.

No scary things in this card, just leaves :)

I kept the corner die in place and used Distress inks to stencil though the die to add color to the pretty flowers and leaves, I didn't have any poppystamps leaves but I did have some from Memory Box, these are plain leaves so I used my stylus and a mat to add my own veins in the leaves and used a bit of distress inks on them also.

What do you think of the pattern paper behind, I was mixed, I kept going from pattern to plain card stock and just thought I would just go with the pattern.  Funny how in person it looked great to me but on the computer screen I am second guessing myself.

Poppystamps - Clara Corner die
Memory Box - Marvelous Maple leaves die
Distress inks - Dried Marigold and peeled paint
BasicGrey - Picadilly paper
Gina Marie stamps - Birthday words sentiment
Spectrum noir sparkle pen - Harvest moon

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,

Connie

Wow! I can see why you like that corner die, Connie. I especially LOVE the printed paper behind it. I wouldn't have thought of using a corner die in that manner - it is pure genius! Thanks for teaching me something new today. It's a lovely creation, and your delicate coloring is fantastic against the background colors! hugs, de

BEAUTIFUL! I love how you inked through the die ... perfect! and your leaves are AMAZING! SO life like!! Gorgeous colors! I would have a hard time deciding on dp or plain too but I think this looks great! I do a lot of second guessing myself too! You're not alone on that one! LOL I think you made the right choice ... the colors are awesome!

Second guessing ourselves is part of the process, I think. We do it all the time. My thoughts are that I was struck by how pretty the corners are and it took me a moment to realize it was designer paper back there. The effect is lovely! This card is just beautiful all over, Connie!

i think the background paper looks great!!! in my humble opinion, i think any more of a print would have been too much - it surely is a beautiful paper. and pictures don't always capture the real essence of anything, always go with what you are really seeing!!!

i am looking forward to seeing your vacation pictures. i will be away with the knitting crew this weekend, i am so excited!!!
