Thinking of you

A friend lost her daughter in law to cancer recently, they were quite close.
I brought out a chipboard tag and paper that came from a papercraft magazine and an embossing folder that came from another.  Punched the paper with a border punch.

I can't ever seem to find a green card stock that I just love the color, and I wanted a soft look to my green but all I seemed to have was almost neon, so I first sponged my cardstock with my inks a few different shades and then die cut my leaf from that and I actually like that color, figures I forgot to write down the colors I used.

Country Diary of Edwardian lady --Chipboard tag and paper, from craft magazine
Garden Party embossing folder from Craft magazine
Spellbinders - Foliage die
Martha Stewart - border punch

Well they are saying we may break the heat record today, we are to reach into the 90's and it should be in the 70's right now, we have lost our fall temps, hopefully they will come back next week sometime.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and say Hi,

Connie

Very pretty, I think you got the color of green just right. I know how it is to search for the right color.

Connie, I'm so very sorry for your friend who lost her daughter-in-law. How tragic, and I know that she will appreciate this beautiful card and your note inside! I love the DP you've used and the sweet tag. I also love the leaf and really think it works so beautifully. Yes, I've done that myself many times and forgotten to write down the colors I used. I'm sure you might remember. Thanks for sharing this beautiful card. Wow, you are still hitting high temps, and yet this morning we awoke to 78 degrees for the first time in a while. However, it's now a bit of 80 degrees. It's a lovely time of year now, and the breeze is especially wonderful. Have a wonderful day, precious friend! Hugs and love! xoxo

I'm sorry for your friend's loss, Connie - so sad to lose those who are much younger - but now that I've said that I realize how foolish it sounds - it's sad to lose anyone who is part of our lives. Your card is lovely, and should help convey the love you feel for your friend during this sad time. Connie, your color choices are so peaceful and soothing, and the dry embossing lends elegance to your pretty card. xx

The paper is incredible and the matching tag gives this card a special beauty. Also love the punched border and your own custom leaf color. Everything is displayed beautifully on the embossed white background. That's the saddest thing about your friend losing her daughter-in-law. I'm so sorry.
