Difficult time

What I love about card making is we can send our well wishes, share happiness and let those know who are going through rough times that we are thinking of them and praying for them.
This was for one of the challenges in my group but I did not do it correctly, I guess, so I won't try to explain it, but I thought I would share my finished results anyway :)

I first used the stencil on the background, then stamped the flowers, colored them with markers and fussy cut them out, popping it up with foam tape, stamped the borders, I used some sparkle pen on the sun.

Cardmaking and Papercraft - Pretty florals stamp, colored with markers
Joggles - Sunshine stencil using Mustard seed ink
Wink of stella clear glitter pen on sun
Crafters companion - pretty borders stamp
Stampendous - Sincere sentiments stamp

VBS is this week at church, usually I am so exhausted after and this time I am helping with the snacks thinking that wouldn't be as tiring, well let's just say I slept very well last night :)  It is so good to see all the kids so happy and having fun, so it is worth it.

Hope your week is off to a good start and thanks so much for taking the time to stop by,

Connie

Whatever you didn’t do quite right, you’ve made a gorgeous card. The sunshine stencil is stunning, and sets the flowers and border off a treat.

Hello to you Connie~ Your card is beautiful! I am loving how that sun turned out~ and the fussy-cut flowers are lovely; esp. how you popped them out as a focal point! The sentiment on the outside makes me want to open to the inside : ) where I know some encouragement is waiting <3 TFS friend~ Always wonderful to visit here. Hugs, karen o

"You didn't do 'it' correctly"....really?? Well, I think your card is fabulous. Do you know, I love every card you imagine AND I love your beautiful heart behind every one. VBS....I remember those days! They are such a wonderful outreach for children and always so, so much work but so, so much fun. Good on you for helping out, Connie. Yes indeed, there is nothing like a day filled with oodles of children and their activities to make one sleep well at night.

Not sure of the Challenge, but this is fabulous! That sun looks amazing and I loooooove how the floral portion is popped up over it, looks fantastic! Oh VBS is the best. My daughter used to go and then when a young teen she also helped out and taught too, such a good week for everyone!

well connie, this card looks very familiar...in fact, it is sitting right next to me as i type. i thought i would point out a few things that i like best about the card, for those who will not really "see" it!!

the flowers are colored in perfectly, the flowers are "popped" and the colors of those flowers are amazing!! the sparkly sun is so pretty, so eye catching!! i love the boarder and the sediment so much!! what i like most about this card is that i know it was made just for me, with a lot of love!!!
