Card and Foggy Lighthouse

In the Instant card art collection once you make a card there are always these little extra bits that you don't use, I decided to challenge myself to use those up. Today I am using the tag and sentiment from the pack. I decided to use pieces of paper from my scraps bin to make the flower, shaping it with my stylus and foam pad.

We took off from our home town and headed to Grand Haven Michigan, this is one of my hubby's favorite Lighthouses.  They have been working on the pier for the last year, so it was a little different from the last time I shared pictures.  This time it was a foggy morning too, so that makes it look different also.

We parked in town and walked down the walk along the harbor to the light house, it is a really nice walk and neat to look at the lighthouse as you go along.

Here we are out on the pier, as you can see the lake was pretty rough that morning too, I love hearing the waves crash along the  pier.  We talked to a local person on our way back to the car and they mentioned that they aren't quite sure why they had the pier go down as you got closer to the light house, as you can see the water is going over the pier, they said you can go out at your own risk but we decided to be happy with what we could take from the part that was higher.

Here we are at the edge before it dips down, do you see the life ring at the bottom right.

I just love the splash of the water on the rocks, so had to get that shot, hubby had to get it too :)

No I didn't go out past the barrier to get my pictures like hubby did, I just leaned over the rails to get mine.

After this we headed up to Ludington but I will save that for next time, I had a hard time deciding which pictures to share so I have a lot so that will be a long post next time.

Hope you all enjoy a fun and creative weekend ahead!
Thanks so much for stopping by,

Connie

What a lovely, soft colored creation, Connie. I really like these colors together especially with the white flower center, pattern paper interior, and soft blue exterior petals. Your dancing border punch is so cute! (I love using my MS punches!) It's beautiful! Thanks for sharing your foggy day at the light house, too. The marker is particularly touching. hugs, de

Cute card. The blue flower is so pretty. Isn't it nice to use up bits and pieces.

Thanks for sharing your lighthouse. I love lighthouses. Canada's famous east coast lighthouse is called Peggy's Cove and I've been there numerous times, and oddly enough, it is always foggy, except for my trip back out east two years ago.

Good idea to use up those leftover parts! Pretty tag and flower, and I love the punched flower border, too. Gosh, they sure do need the lighthouses with all that fog! I love that this one is red. It shows up better in the fog and now I'm thinking all lighthouses should be a bright color to contrast with the fog. Odd how the pier dips down. It looks slippery!
