I haven't used this set in some time and when I got it out I decided to use both stamped images in the set for two upcoming birthdays, of course I had to change up the cards so they weren't done exactly the same :)
I went with the colors of paper I picked out, it's funny, I sometimes color first and then go through all my papers trying to find something that could go with it and other times I pick out the papers and then use those colors for my coloring, I think it all depends on my mood when I go in to create.

The next one I used a card sketch for my layout but never wrote down where I found it, sorry.

Hope you had a good weekend, we had a few very heavy rains with flooding out back and out front, we have a mess to clean up but we may get more tonight so we are waiting to clean it up, don't want to have to do it twice, specially with the HOT and Humid temps we have right now.
Have a great week and thanks so much for stopping by today,
Connie

Connie your cards are so special . . . I know that they are treasured by all that receive them, including me.
You're a dear blogging friend, thank you for caring.
Connie :)
I do the same thing -- alternate between coloring first and then picking papers, and picking papers and coloring to match!
Both of your cards turned out so cute --- those are some fun images!!
Both are lovely cards Connie.
All the best Jan
Connie, oh those birds are adorable! They look very happy too!
such a cute card!! i often wonder how you decide on colors and which comes first!!!
we have had heavy rains, lighting and storms each night, but our yard is not impacted negatively by it!!
How colorful and pretty!Hugs!
Such beauties! I love all the detail in the stamp and you've colored it so nicely - it reminds me a bit of stained glass! I love the layouts you've used, too ~ wonderful!
I love your mix of layers and colors, such lovely cards.

Lovely cards and stunning colours. Great colouring.xx
Love the images, the color and your perfect color choices. The Designer Papers look great as a backdrop too! Keep creating!
Oh, Connie, I love both your cards so much! The stamps are so much fun and you did a beautiful job coloring them. I'm like you... sometimes I color and then try to match up, sometimes I choose the paper first. I think it's always easier and quicker when it comes time to make the card if I choose the paper first. Hugs!
Great stamps which you’ve coloured beautifully. Both look good against the papers you’ve chosen.
