Old Fashion Birthday

I had been seeing a few cards lately done with typewriters and that reminded me that I had a stamp and die set that I hadn't used in awhile, I love the way this turned out, I love it for a masculine card!

I printed the typewriter onto some patterned paper to give it more of an antique feel, I cut the card base edge with a border punch, both the top and middle pieces were left overs I had saved from other punches I didn't use on other cards.  I cut a slot into the typewriter stamped piece to put my sentiment down into the typewriter. Inked around the edges.

My favorite things - You're just my type stamp and die set
Distress ink - Old paper
Fiskars - Notebook border punch
DCWV - Travel scrapbook paper
Stampin up - Black Jewels
left over border punches

We have had a very windy day yesterday but warm enough to cook some steaks on the grill, a lot of people were out  in the neighborhood getting things done while it was nice out, oh how I love Autumn!!

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today and to say Hi, I love hearing from you,

Connie

So glad you are enjoying Autumn, Connie. It is a glorious time of the year. This is a fabulous card and perfect for a male, though I think it is equally perfect for a lady.

Connie, what a funny idea of yours! And, with your good taste, it worked very well.
I really like old typewriters. You know, I started writing with the machine first than describing it by hand! Since I was very little I went to my Father's office (lawyer) and his employees liked to see me "press" the keys.
I wish you a good week!

Oh how fantastic! Love that typewrite and your HB typed message. Great idea to cut a slot, you can change up the sentiment for any style! Awesome!

This is a wonderful vintage style card Connie and very masculine indeed! What a cool stamp and I love that you can stamp any message on the paper insert. I'm glad you're enjoying this beautiful fall season. It's been rainy here since we got home but it's looking like today might be a nice day outside. I love all the colors of fall!
