Ornament

Normally each year when we go on vacation we come across an ornament that is a great reminder of our trip and we buy it for that year's ornament and so when we put them on the tree we can remember back to the past years and where we went.  Well this year all we really did was go home to Michigan in October for our sibling get together and on the way home stopped at a state park in Indiana.  At the time we were not going into stores that we didn't need to so there was no visiting of the park store to see if they had any ornaments, so I decided to make my own from dies I bought myself for Christmas this year :)

I love this new die that looks like a slice of wood, there are two sizes that come in  the set one is smaller than this one.

  • The Greetery - Wood slices die
  • Tim Holtz, Sizzix - Large Funky Festive dies
  • Glitter ribbon
I thought I would share how it looks on my tree.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today and all the days throughout the year!!!!
Wishing you all a very Happy and Healthy Year to come!!!

Connie

Oh, Connie, what a year it's been, and your handmade ornament is a perfect representation. It's gorgeous and pretty much says it all, memory-wise. Wishing you a healthy and happy new year in which we both get to travel a little bit!

Oh Wow! yes I really thought it was wood too. That's a really neat ornament. We used to do that too...get an ornament for our tree to remember our vacations...(Not that we went on that many) but I do have a little trolley car we bought in San Fran, and other things places we visited. I didn't put any ornaments on our tree this year. No one would have seen them but hubby and I so just put up the tree and plugged in the lights...but it was enough this year.

Why, I think your ornament is prettier than any that would be found in a store. Looking at your Christmas tree with all the ornaments must bring to mind many wonderful memories of pleasant holidays. Such a fabulous idea, Connie.

So pretty are these and yes, travel is a past thing now for us, some of our borders have closed again, making us isolated from families. xx

Absolutely stunning. I particularly like the top ornament with the tree cut. It is sad that we can't travel. Our east coast trip, with the trailer, is cancelled for the summer.
