Thinking of you today

A friend from church lost his brother to Covid19.  He fought for a month but didn't make it. So hard to see the toll this virus has had on people and how the families have to ask that people just wear their masks.  I don't think it hits home until you lose someone from this.

Yes, it is a sad time for sure. In my province it is mandatory to wear masks in all buildings, including work.

This is a lovely card for such a sad time.

I'm so sorry for your parishioner's loss. COVID hits home to me because I had a severe bout with the flu when I was a little girl. The virus triggered Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, also known as Myalgic Encephalitis. It has been a life-long battle which worsened over time. Scientists are discovering that many people who tested positive for COVID and never had symptoms are actually coming down with what they currently call "Long-Haul COVID" but it has the same symptoms as CFS/ME. I think of all the people who think they can "beat" COVID, and suffer very little at all when infected, but in a few years, or later in their lives, they will discover so many other issues related to that seemingly benign infection. But when people are healthy, it's difficult to contemplate the loss of Health. (sorry, didn't mean to chat on and on). Your card using the HC papers is stunning and so serene, Connie. I pray you will continue eluding the virus and its variations. Lovingly, de

How very sad for everyone who knew this dear man. How very sad too, that people flippantly disregard the monster that is COVID. Your card will be balm to your friend's heart. It is lovely.

I'm so sorry for your friend's loss, Connie. It hurts my heart whenever I hear of another COVID victim. I just wish everyone would wear a mask and do the right thing. It may not fix all, but it would reduce the number of people who fall to the virus. Your card is beautiful with the Heartfelt paper and I know will help soothe your friend's spirit.

So sorry about your friend's brother. There are so many people who have lost their fight. I agree with you -- the least we can do it wear a mask and social distance.
What a beautiful card!
