Yellow Finch

When I was going through my stamps I came across this one that I don't think I have ever used, and it was with all my other bird stamps.  It came with a die to cut it out too :)

I colored one this one and wasn't so sure about it, so I stamped another and liked that one more, the next day I came to make the one into a card and ended up liking the first one I colored too, so I made them both into cards :)

  • Cottage Cutz - Yellow finch w/cone flowers stamp and die, colored w/markers
  • Hot off the press - 4 Lacy rectangles frame die
  • My mind's eye - Lost & Found paper
  • Recollections - Bling on a roll
  • Simon Says stamps - Tiny words birthday stamp
  • Pink & Main - Sentiment strip die
Sharing this card in the Inspiration Station Challenge blog music sheet

The second I was going to just mount onto white cardstock but I wanted a light blue behind and remembered my mulberry papers, I like the soft touch it gave behind it.

  • Cottage Cutz - Yellow finch w/cone flowers stamp and die, colored w/markers
  • Spellbinders - Noble Rectangle and A2 matting basics B dies
  • Graphic 45 - Botanical tea paper
  • Paper Studio - Mulberry paper and Flower gems
  • Hero Arts - Birthday message stamp
  • EK Success - circle punch

I think this just proves if you don't like something you made one day, leave it and come back to it, you might just find you like it after all :)

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,

Connie

Isn't it funny what we don't like one day but the next day we do. I think both cards are lovely, Connie. Those birds are sweet.

Good morning Connie. Two beautiful cards. Nicely coloured images. I love the music bg and pearls.

Nice bg on your second card. Those fancy cuts add an elegant touch.

So many times I named a card as a dud and those are the cards that get the most comments on Facebook. I'm glad I'm not alone. We're so critical of ourselves.

Connie, I love both cards. Your coloring is wonderful on both images and I especially love the one with the music background. It's so funny how we get something in our mind about a card we've made. I have posted cards that I wasn't really proud of and they seem to get more comments and attention than ones that I love. LOL! The say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Gee, Connie, these are both very pretty. I love that you used the music score on the first. Yes, it just goes to show you... that does happen to me sometimes, too.
