Smoosh Technique

Our group got together for another on line card making session. This time we did a little ink smooshing, using our acrylic blocks, adding some water base ink pens to the acrylic block, misting with some water and then applying to the card.  We got our measurements a little off, I should have went in farther from the outside of the card, like 3/4 of an inch instead of 1/4 inch, but it still worked out I think so I went with it.

Since I don't mail square cards since that costs more I will be hand delivering this card to my friend.

  • Inkadinkado - Birds Galore stamp and Victorian Inchie bundle for the sentiment
  • Spectrum Aqua pens applied to acrylic block misted and stamped on card base
Inside of card:

  • Spellbinders - Decorative Labels Eight and Anemone Flower die
  • Memory box - Woodland Branch die
  • Impression Obsession- Spring bird die
  • Stampendous - Birthday Assortment sentiment stamp
We were given the measurements for the inside pop up and this is how I decorated it.

On the second card I did a 5 x 6 1/2 inch card instead of square so that I could mail it. As you see I did both panels wrong, the squares should be closer together. I like this one more because I used my favorite colors.

  • Inkadinkado - Garden Delight stamp set
  • Ink Smooshing by inking acrylic block, misting with water and stamping on background
  • Simon Says - Tiny words Birthday sentiment stamp
  • Paper Studio - Silkscreen Embossing folder
  • Lace
  • Queen & Co. - Pink Petite Posies (gems)

I would like to share this last card with Can you handle the pressure Twist of Rainbow, the smooshing kind of has a feel of rainbow colors

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,

Connie

Great technique Connie and you pulled it off. I love first card best.
With square card if put in rectangular standard envelope you can mail it here.. ie doesn't need to go in square envelope 😊

What a fabulous watercolor technique! It would be hard to get the squares placed just right. I'm surprised with how well you lined them up. Love these Inkadinkado stamps. I have the birds and they're a favorite old set. Cool pop up, too. I think the second card is my favorite as well because I love the colors and design with the embossing and trim. I really do have to start using my trims!
