I used all kinds of things from stash for the next birthday card for my hubby's coworker. I tore a page from a Botany Book with a tear ruler I found on Amazon. I love the pet tape from Arden, I thought it would work well on my cards and the big eyelet I have had for many years.
- Botany book page, torn with a tear ruler and inked
- Arden - Hidden Creek, Filmstrip pet tape
- Mushroom label sticker
- Eyelet
- Tim Holtz - Clippings sticker book (sentiment)
We have some severe weather heading our way this afternoon and evening, hope everyone in the line of the storms stay safe.
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,
Connie

That's a way cool card.
Wonderfully ideal for a guy with its very masculine, outdoorsy look! I hope you stay safe in the stormy weather. I've been watching the news reports...
Fabulous card Connie and love all the embellishments and book page for the background..

I love very botanical cards like this - so beautiful! I'm catching up on life as we just got back from a trip (I shared in my post today). So looking forward to looking back on posts I missed. Blessings on your week! xoxo

Great masculine card. I have not thought about my tear ruler in years! Great job on the card!
Perfect masculine card, Connie xoxo
This is awesome! Love my tear rulers--great for scrapbooking too! The filmstrip is my favorite part and the page beneath! Splendid!
you know i love a "good" storm...one without danger of course!! i really like these male cards you have been creating. i have never heard of a tear ruler, i guess that makes a neater tear!! i just tear. i googled it and i see how it works and i can certainly tell on your card!! that's a great idea, especially for cards. well done!!
A very beautiful card. It looks like a page from an old botanik book.
Your mix of textures and vintage elements creates such a great masculine feel, and I love how the torn and inked botany page sets the tone for the whole design while the filmstrip tape, mushroom label, and that oversized eyelet add so much character, all coming together in a way that feels rugged, collected, and thoughtfully layered for a birthday card with real personality.
Super awesome!! Love the vintage vibes, and now I think I need a tear ruler! lol
A good looking card.
All the best Jan
