W Fold

The next challenge I did in my stamp group was a W Fold card.  Heidi shares how to do this fold on her blog HERE.

The more I look at this the more I feel it needs a sentiment on the front. This is my first time using these dies and I didn't realize the inside would come out but they are called frames so I should have realized that, anyway I ended up popping up the image from the frame.

Now for the W fold part of it.

It took me a little while looking through my stamps to see what all would fit on these little panels and with the little watering can I don't even have who the maker is, one of the first stamps I bought years ago when I first started stamping.

Happy B-day

This stamp set that was in this magazine was just too cute to pass up, there are all kinds of cute little teddies.  I colored this little girl with markers.

I am hoping this isn't pattern over load, I was trying to use all pattern paper, I haven't used ovals in awhile, I tend to go toward my rectangle dies for everything. Punched border and tag and I was done.

More Levees have broken in Missouri and here in Illinois, so sad to see so many homes under water. They were interviewing people at the gas stations that in order to get from their work places to home it is taking an extra hour now to drive around all the flooding, so they are having to get more gas, we have more rain in the forecast too, we had some heavy down pours last night.

Embossed Watercolor background

This is the challenge I had for the others to try, I will have to say I wasn't very fond of my results and I don't know if I would try it again but if you don't try it you will never know.

I had to add a butterfly there was too much space for my taste. I used an old background from a previous challenge week to stamp the butterfly onto and fussy cut it out.

More Christmas

The stamp group I belong to is having a week of challenges, I still haven't tried my challenge I have for the group but since I had just finished Christmas cards for May and had my Christmas box of goodies out, I decided that the first one I would do is a Christmas card using the challenge of making an A10  size card (3 7/8 x 9 1/4) she had two lists of goodies to pick from and you had to use at list one from each group and a stamp.  I ended up using a couple of things from each group.

From the first list I used a stencil for my background and punched a couple borders with my snowflake punch. From the second list I used stickles on the lamp post, enamel accents on the stenciled snowflakes and Spectrum noir clear sparkle pen on the light. Colored the stamp with markers and hand cut it out, added a little faux snow to the base.

E is for Elves

The challenge in my stamp group was to use something with the letter E for our Christmas cards.  I found these elf stickers that I have had for a very long time that I bought at the Dollar Store, so I decided to finally work with them and I managed to get 3 cards done for the month of May.

So that I could add a bit of dimension I placed all the stickers onto card stock and then cut around them and used foam tape to pop them up, the sentiments were all on the sticker sheets too, I still have a few extras left but I did use all the elves.
