Today is my Sisters birthday and I am hoping that she doesn't check my blog before she gets her mail, I want her to see her card in person first.
I subscribe to a couple English magazines and they had what they called Zig Zag card but all the dimensions were in Metric so I was trying to figure out what size I should make it and decided to google Zig Zag cards and oh my there are all kinds out there, well I found this one that used a 5 1/2 by 12 inch size paper and you scored at 2" 4" 8' and 10 inches. On the 5 1/2 inch side you measure down 3 inches draw a line from the 4' score line to that 3 inch score line and that gives you your angle, do the same thing on the other side. The you mountain and valley fold both sides until you get your shape. The reason I am telling you all this and not giving you the link is because I don't have it, I thought I saved the link but I guess I didn't and when I tried googling again, no such luck finding it.
I can give you the link to the video I found on you tube, it is not the same card but I did like her idea of using a punch on the borders so I used that idea: Zig Zag tutorial
Here is the card, before sending this to her I added a white piece of cardstock inside with my birthday message.
Spellbinders -- Picot edge circles, Anemone Flower topper, and Foliage dies
Martha Stewart -- Swirling lace and Butterfly punches
Stampendous-- Birthday assortment sentiment stamp
Queen & co. -- Gems (flower centers and right bottom)
Recollections-- Pearl swirls
Distress ink-- Broken china
I wanted you to see what it looked like closed so I had to use a paper clip to keep it closed.
Wishing my Sister a very Happy day and God's blessings for a wonderful year ahead!!
Hope today is a start to a very good weekend for all of you too,
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by,
Connie
