Garden flowers

When visiting my sister a couple years ago she was cleaning out some of her craft supplies and this package of paper flowers was in the bag of things she gave me.  In this little bag was one big flower and two smaller one purple and one white and then two different sizes of leaves.  I decided to get them out and open the package the other day, and so glad I finally did, you see each of those flowers was a stack of flowers and they are really fine, like tissue paper.  I decided to use my stylus and a mat to shape them a little to give dimension.  My hubby says won't they get flattened in the envelope, I said I don't know but we will see.
I added a stem from the spellbinder die so that they weren't just floating there. This is going to a long time friend we met on our way over to England back in 1995 when both of our husbands were already over in England and it was time for the families to join them.

Amaco -- Counrty Garden paper shapes (flowers and leaves)
Spellbinders -- curved rectangles and ivy branch dies
Paper smooches-- Happy birthday sentiment stamp
Paper from Cardmaking and papercraft magazine

Some of our trees are starting to bud and the plants are peeking up through the ground, spring is on it's way, so love seeing the earth come to life.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today, and letting me know you did,

Connie

Your flowers and leaves are so pretty, Connie! Love that bit of purple. They may flatten a little, but I bet there will still be some shape left to them. So nice the way you added the branch. Love that! Enjoy your signs of spring!

Connie, your flowers are gorgeous! I'm making my Easter cards and I'm adding a flower and I really hope it doesn't get squished. I think I'll add a piece of cardboard or extra card stock on top of the front of the card. That may help.

Love Love Love this Connie! Gorgeous card! When I make cards like yours and I'm sending them out, I place the cards in small bubble envelopes, because of the bumpiness. The postage evens out, because the USPS might charge extra anyway due to the bumps.
