Puff flower

I found these flowers that have a bit of stuffing  in them and the button already on it a few years back and I think I bought like 4 packs of them and I really need to use them up so that is what started this card, then I wanted to make a card using an angle die but I don't have them and since I am trying not to buy so much anymore and just use what I have I thought I would try to make an angle using my straight border dies, and I think it worked pretty good :)

This sentiment came with the the little flower so I decided to pick up the colors in the polka dot paper I used for the sentiment and color it in red.  This is another one of those cards I was really pleased with at the end, love it when that happens :) My great niece just turned 22 and her Mom tells me she liked it :)

Crate Paper -- DIY shop paper
Poppystamps -- eyelet stitches die
Inkadinkado -- Garden Greetings stamp set
Ki -- puffies (flower)

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today, I appreciate you letting me know you did also,

Connie

Your idea worked great! I try to keep my spending to a minimum as well, and love finding my own ways to duplicate ideas I see on-line w/out spending money! (I also shop ebay and etsy discount stores to find bargains on paper-crafting supplies!)
I love the polka-dot paper, the puffy flower, and that notebook background! Great card!

Love the way your paper is cut and how it has white scalloped edges. The red really pops out nice.

Your angle design is so cute and I love the stitched border. No reason you need a whole special die for that angle, as you've so clearly shown. The combo of polka dots, puffy flower, and that super ultra-cute sentiment is a winner!

This turned out fabulous Connie! I love the polka dotted paper at an angle like this and the eyelet border you added to it makes me think of a ladies hankie. So sweet and feminine! The puffy flowers are cool too! I'm sure your niece loved it!

Hi, Connie! Such a fantastic use for that darling "stuffed" and "buttoned" flower! I can just imagine how delighted you were to rediscover these from your long-ago stash and be able to use it in such an updated, beautiful fashion! The layout is great, and that pretty, dainty white edging definitely looks like lace. Sweet in every way, especially with the dotted paper in the background! hugs, de

Super card, I love the flower and how it matches the paper. As for the angled border, you'd never know you hadn't used a die, it's perfect!
