I was going through my pictures and realized I forgot to share the Christmas challenge I did last month for my stamping group, although I didn't use any stamping I did use a snowman die cut one of the girls in the group sent me, isn't he adorable, I do love my snowmen :) I have such a big collection that I wait until after Christmas is over and all the decorations are put away and I get out my snowman collection and have that up until February.
The challenge was to use polka dots and I went with a polka dot embossed background.
I tried to add Glitter embossing powder to each of those dots but it didn't show up very well, I cut a snow drift out of the bottom and popped it up, adding a tree and bird to finish off the scene. I also added a bit of Stickles to his hat and the snow under the snowman.
Cuttlebug - Swiss dot embossing folder
Snowman die cut, colored with markers
Poppystamps - Stitched landscape die
Frantic Stamper - Oregon tree die, colored with distress inks
Poppystamps - Cheery cardinal die
Stickles - Frosted lace on hat and snow
I am getting there on my Christmas cards but it is slow going, hoping to get to more before this month is over.
Thanks so much again for stopping by and saying Hi, always good to hear from you,
Connie

This is super cute, Connie! I love everything about it!
Oh my, Connie, I agree that this darling snowman is so adorable! What great detail in the dies today, and I love how you've colored him. Sweet back with the tree and the darling cardinal...and the dotted Swiss is perfect with the glitter. I love it! I've been working on my Christmas cards slowly this year but keeping up with the Fan Club/Dirty Dozen Christmas Challenge at SCS. It sure has helped me. Hugs and love, sweet friend!
Oh so SWEET, Connie! One thing I always forget about when making cards is to use the curved dies (or even when inking) to make a scene. It always melts my heart at its cleverness, but I cannot seem to remember to do it when designing! Guess it is one of those things that make me appreciate the technique even more on other people's designs. Like this super cute, darling, CHEERFUL creation! Right down to the cardinal and pretty matching scarf, hat and mittens. hugs, de

I really think that the dots turned out great. Adds texture and just a bit of color. So cute.
