Pink & Grey with Sparkle

Today's card will be in two challenges. The first is the Flower Challenge blog.

The next is The Sisterhood of Crafters and their challenge is to use sparkle.

When I first saw this challenge I thought of this stamp that hadn't seen ink yet, it was just itching to be used :)  I colored with Spectrum noir markers.

For my sparkle I had this silver diamond paper that already had glitter on it, I also added stickles to the center of my flower and I am hoping you can see in this next picture that I added Spectrum Clear sparkle pen to the water in the vase.

I wouldn't normally color like this so I liked the challenge, the flowers really pop.

Penny Black - Rose Bowl stamp, colored w/markers
Memory Box - Stitched Rectangles Layers die
SRM stickers - Happy Birthday set
Stickles - yellow
Spectrum Sparkle pen clear on water in vase
Pink Sheer Ribbon

There are a few more days left in each challenge if you want to play along.
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,

Connie

Connie,
Thanks so much for stopping by! These are lovely colors and look beautiful together!! My MIL used to make Stouffer's lasagna and it was quite good!! Joe is not fond of lasagna or anything mixed together in casserole form but will eat it the day I serve it and then that is it. Me, who was raised with lots of Italian friends whose Nonnies made homemade pasta, can live on all that Italian food!!!
Hugs,
Debbie

Oh, Connie, this is absolutely stunning! Your coloring of this beautiful stamp is gorgeous. I'm a new fan of the gray leaves. I wouldn't have thought of it, either, but I love it so much. Things don't have to be just the way we always think of them. Pretty sparkle. Feels good to ink up a not-yet-used stamp, I know!

Oh, dear Connie, this is gorgeous! I saw this challenge and have thought about it, and you've really made a stunning card with pink and gray! I love this image and love the DP you've used. Truly a perfect card in every way, and I'm sure the sparkle is even prettier IRL! Love and hugs, sweet friend! xoxo

Connie, I know what you mean when you say "I don't normally color like this." It totally works with your objective of making the floral image pop! And I love the bits of gray with the leaves. Wish I could see the sparkle better, but I know it is there and shows up so much better in person. Thanks for sharing your card with the Sisterhood of Crafters sparkle challenge. Hope to see you often in our gallery!
