Chalkboard

I always liked these stamps but never got the impression on them like I wanted before the MISTI stamping tool, so now that I have it I thought I need to give these stamps another try and I just love the results I got from them now, so I decided to make cards out of both stamps.

I don't know how I managed it but I got an eye infection at least that is what the doctor thinks, my eye is swollen and my vision is blurry.  I tried to make an appointment with the eye doctor on base but they won't see retired military anymore so I have to find an off base eye doctor, so I went to my family doctor. He gave me some oral antibiotics and ointment for my eye, no change yet.  It makes doing anything a bummer, especially trying to color anything, it is just like when I had my cataract in that eye.  Praying that my vision comes back after the infection or whatever is going on heals.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and have a wonderful weekend!

Connie

Both cards are AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL! I'm so sorry to hear of your eye issue ... that has to be miserable and annoying all at the same time! I think I would still find a good eye doctor. I'm fortunate since my eye doctor lives across the street. Praying you get comfortable soon.

That is great that your misti tool helped you use stamps that you really couldn’t use before! These are great cards, I love the chalkboard looks.

So sorry about your eye. I hope the infection clears and that you don’t feel anxious about it anymore.

There are some things the MISTI is just perfect for, and largish stamps like this are one of them. I use my Stamp-a-Ma-Jig for the same type of thing, but it's difficult, if not impossible with a very large stamp. Nice that it works with wood block stamps, though. Just think... your MISTI is helping you get your money's worth out of your stamps! Your two cards turned out great. I love the chalkboard look. Connie, I hope your eye heals up soon and all returns to normal. These things just come out of nowhere!

Connie, oh no! I am sorry that you have an eye infection. I hope that the antibiotics/ointment kick in soon. Your cards are gorgeous! I have some chalk paper but haven't tried anything with it yet. XO

Ah Connie, great use of chalkboards indeed, yes these do work well with Misti I’d imagine. I don’t have any so won’t try ...but can admire. It’s great to use something you haven’t been able to use before isn’t it?

I hope your eye heals soon, Connie. Hopefully the antibiotics and ointment will heal the infection. Love these two cards. Love all the wonderful words on each. The Misti tool is wonderful, isn't it.

I am so sorry to read about your eye. I hope it clears up fast for you, but it doesn't sound like it will.

I'm absolutely in love with these stamps, which I used to have. I had a roommate that permanently "borrowed" things from me, and stamps were just some of the things I have missing. Very dicouraging to say the least.

Like you, I always felt the stamped image (before the Misti) didn't stamp out crisply.

Your designer papers look wonderful as backgrounds to these lovely stamps.
