Just Because

I had this background and this butterfly laying on my desk for awhile now and thought they would look nice together. Once again the Tim Holtz stencil I used didn't quite make it to the edges of the card stock so I die cut a border on either side so it wouldn't be plain white.

I added some white enamel accents but you can barely see them, for the butterfly trail.

Shaving cream background using Tim Holtz stencil
Die'sire - Beautiful borders
SRM - thinking of you stickers
Butterfly stamp
Enamel Accents- white

Thanks for all the suggestions you had for my Robins :)

The eye doctor just figured I had an infection in my eye, all cleared up now, but he did say that the blurry is from my cataract and I have an appointment with a surgeon next month to have it looked at and see if he thinks it is bad enough to have surgery.

We had a coating of ice last night and so today it is quite slick out there but hopefully it will melt as the day goes on we are to get above freezing.  We just have to hang in there for another month and we should be out of this mess.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,

Connie

Such a beautiful card. Your background is stunning!!

Glad to hear your infection is all better. It's too bad about your cataract. Surgery for it is a breeze; I had my first one done in my late 40's, and at 56 years old now, I just had my second one done. They said it is young to have them, but at least I won't have to have them done later.

Our weather, hear in southern Ontario, near Detroit, is calling for an ice and snow storm. I've had enough of the rain and snow storms this year. Stay safe!

Beautiful card Connie!
Glad you've received some info on your eye issue and are getting some relief and resolution. I'm dealing with an issue myself these days called Anosmia and they are actually going to do a brain MRI on Friday just to be sure there's nothing else going on. Should be interesting to say the least! LOL
I'm so anxious for Spring this year and looking forward to the time change in a few weeks! The older I get the more I dislike those short daylight days! Have a great day and keep up the good work!

I love the way this turned out, Connie. It looks a bit distressed, and as though you planned to have some of it lighter than the rest - really gorgeous! And that butterfly stamp is beautiful! I cannot believe you used the shaving cream technique with a stencil! Wow! hugs, de

I hope they're able to fix up your eye. Mine are at that point where I'm carrying cheaters everywhere and I'm realizing I had taken years of good vison for granted.

Love the card. My grandmother loved butterflies, so seeing one gives me happy memories.

Pleased that your eye infection is all cleared up now.
Best to see the eye surgeon next month with regard to your cataract.

I do like your card, butterflies are always a winner for me :)

All the best Jan

I think it is happenstance you didn't have enough paper as I think the pretty edging you added is perfect. This is such a pretty card. I always love a butterfly on a card. That is good news that your eye is all clear now.

I'll comment on just this one now, Connie, and I hope to catch up on the rest very soon. First, thank you so much for the beautiful card! Love it!! I hope the eye surgeon has good news for you. I think we are in the same boat. My cataracts are not great but not bad enough for the insurance to cover it. Ugh!
