I also spritzed this marble background, not sure if I liked the results as well as the last card. Also I used a lighter sheet of kraft paper that is printed on the other side instead of my lightweight cardstock and I think you don't get as fine as marbling when you use the softer paper, but I do like the way the background came out against the kraft paper, but first the marble background,
Our challenge was to use a stamp on the these but I would like to try it again when I can use diecuts because I have some that I think would look great against the marble. I did some shadow stamping with this stamp, first stamped with black then moved it over and stamped to the left again without reinking, didn't think it showed up as well, so I used some grey ink for my 3rd stamping to the right.
Had to add some butterflies. My sentiment didn't show up as well as I liked against the grey piece, but it was a sticker and I didn't want to chance things and mess it up.

It just felt antique to me so I once again went with an antique stamp using the same blue as the background onto a piece of Kraft paper that had text onto it.

This technique makes very cool backgrounds even when it comes out with a different than expected result. Love your shadow stamping. I need to remember that.
Both great Connie, was interested that you thought the heavier card scrunch worked better than thin cardstock scrunch! Might give this a go.

Wow! These look fabulous, Connie! I love that you share "old time" technique challenges from your group, as well as the new ones - Your cards look amazing! So glad the temps are giving a bit of a reprieve to you. Some sort of lower level trough from the tropics is keeping us more normal (40s at night 60-70 during the day). But I noticed the last 2 nights, we didn't even get below 60! Things are strange - it's also very wet again this winter, so far. I wish it could revert back to the olden days, sometimes, when winter was our "fire season" - it gave a chance for the mildews and molds to go away. But I don't want snow or icy temps, so I am grateful for what we enjoy here! hugs, de
