I received a package with all kinds of goodies from Gina over at Twigs and Branches. She was so sweet to send all kinds of goodies for me to use in my card making, I just had to use some on a thank you card I sent.
Who doesn't love a heart flower :) Just before I received her package I had spent my Christmas money and broke down and bought a Gemini Jr. die cutting machine. It is electric and cuts like a dream, no more cranking a handle to cut my dies and I have tried it on those dies that normally I would have to run through many times changing the direction of them so I could get them all cut through, with this is cuts the first time, LOVE it! I have noticed when I was using thinner card stock that it even cut too well and in delicate area's it cut even the part I you don't want to cut. But as you can see on these papers from Prima it cut perfect. The machine came with some dies and one of them was these heart, also came with an embossing folder I will share later.
The goodies that Gina sent that I used were these heart enamel shapes, aren't they ever so cute and they are so flat no need to worry about mailing, I love them!! I popped up the hearts with dimensional foam tape and hand stitched a stem. You can see one of the enamel dots on the sentiment tag.
Crafters Companion - Loving tags die (hearts)
Spellbinders - Majestic Labels 25 and 5x7 matting basics A dies
Prima - Fairy Flora Collection paper
Cardmaking and Papercraft mag. - sentiment
Stampin up - Enamel shapes (hearts)
Martha Stewart - leaf punch
Thanks again Gina for the lovely package so thoughtful of you!
We have sunshine this morning, when it has been so gloomy it is so welcomed to see, even if it is supposed to turn cloudy this afternoon. Time to get out for a walk and soak it up while I can :)
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,
Connie

Very pretty, I love those prima papers, they always have the softest designs. The heart flower is lovely. I’m glad you like your gemini so much, that would be nice not to have to fiddle with the intricate dies at all!
Connie, I do love this card! I'm so glad that you enjoyed all the little things in the treasure box! I don't think I've heard of an electric die cut machine. I've just got the crankin' kind :-)
Connie, what a sweet gesture on Bonnie's part to send you lovely gifts! Your card is beautiful with the gorgeous heart flower. Love the stitching for the floral stem. Glad you are enjoying your new investment! I have given thought to purchasing a Gemini but I haven't decided yet. Take card, sweet friend!
Wonderful design Connie.
Hugs Diane
Beautiful, and the gorgeous colours on those hearts are like wow...x
Oh this is so pretty Connie! I just love the combination of the stitched stem and patterned hearts!
Aren't blogging friends the sweetest?! Love your pretty card.....especially the stitched stem on your heart flower!
This is another of my favorite SB die sets. Looks fabulous in these papers, and I'm especially drawn to the "blooming" hearts done in the paper, adding lots of dimension! I've never seen that die cut holding the "you're so sweet" image - a heart shaped conversation bubble! WOW! Such cuteness! Wishing you a great week-end. Hugs, de
so pretty connie, i find people don't send thank you notes anymore. i gift my hand crafted hats and blankets and never hear another thing. i try to send notes but for me, it comes kind of naturally. i think young adults of today have not gotten in the habit of sending paper notes and cards!!!
it was gorgeous here yesterday, full sun and 60 degrees. i was so happy to get out and enjoy it!!
Simply beautiful Connie!! Your layers and use of Prima papers is perfect! The delicate punching is lovely and sweet stitching too!! Have a nice day. (We had some sun yesterday (though still very cold) and it was nice to get out and feel it shining down : ) Hugs, karen
Since this is such a sweet and pretty card the sentiment is perfect! Beautiful paper for the hearts and I LOVE non-lumpy embellishments such as the enamel hearts you used. Cool hand stitching for the stem. You've piqued my curiosity about the Gemini. I don't mind hand cranking, but it's aggravating when a die doesn't cut thoroughly. Shimming helps, but not always. That could be the die, but if so, I have a few too many faulty dies. I'm going to look up the Gemini. Thanks, Connie!
Hi Connie! Very beautiful and perfect this your work! Really enjoyed
Oh I love your heart flowers, those hearts are super pretty, great prints! What a fabulous design! Beautiful card!
