Sympathy

Sending this to my hubby's sister. Her son was struck by a hit and run driver and was killed. All we know is that it was just after dark and it may either be a white or silver car that hit him. He was 38 years old.

I had recently bought this kit with a set of card bases that have preprinted images and die cut pieces that go with them and sentiments, since they didn't have any sympathy I stamped my own sentiment inside the wreath and then added the diecuts, they are so thick I didn't need to add any foam tape.

I also added some of those enamel shapes that Gina sent, they matched perfectly with the greenery in the background I thought.

Crafts Beautiful magazine - Floral Fancy foiled card kit
Stampendous - Sincere sentiment stamp set
Stampin up - enamel shapes

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,

Connie

Oh, Connie. I'm sorry to hear about your nephew. My sincere sympathy for your loss, and to his family and friends. It seems in our area that Hit-and-Runs are on the increase every week. It's an insult to the injury. Wishing you all peace and love during this trying time. Your card, Connie, is lovely. The kit certainly has delicate pieces and such pretty colors. love, de

I'm so sorry, Connie. I gasped when I read this and Rich asked me what was wrong so I read him your post. We've noticed a huge increase in hit and run in the last few years. Why would you hit and run unless you knew you were doing something wrong? Drinking, drugs, outstanding warrants, on your cell phone. Still, only a small coward would hit and run. I'm just so sorry this happened to your family. Your card is absolutely gorgeous. What a beautiful kit that must be. The pretty card base and the flowers are breathtaking. It makes a most lovely sympathy card.
