Good Friday

We must all be thankful for the day that Jesus of Nazareth, The king of the Jews, gave up his Life so that we may be saved. Such an amazing gift we have been given, saving grace that can only come from Jesus, there is nothing in this life that we could do that can save us but by the blood of Jesus that he shed out on that cross.

I am sharing once again another 5x7 card that I water colored using the Spectrum noir Spring coloring cards. I used the spectrum noir Aqua markers and on the grass I scribbled a little bit of the ink onto my pellet and then took a little stipple brush to make the darker marks in my grassy area, I like the texture that gave to it.

Last Monday was a beautiful day here and hubby had a day off so we headed to Pyramid state park Illinois to see how green it is getting just south of us, we came across some blooming trees as soon as we entered the park.

Have you ever seen anything like these when the leaves are budding? This tree was in a swampy area of the park but we had just never seen anything like it.

There was a little bit of flooding over the road in this part of the park but not so deep our van did just fine. After this we left and drove to another area that I will share another time.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,

Connie

Such a glorious gift Jesus has given us for which I am forever thankful. His love and grace....amazing really. Thank you for sharing your beautiful thoughts, Connie. Your card is very sweet and aren't those pink blossoms on the tree amazing. It sounds as if your walk presented you with many beautiful sights. How fun your husband took a day off and you could enjoy the day together drinking in the glorious sights that nature has to offer. May your Easter be a blessed one, lovely Connie♥

It is delightful, Connie, and your watercoloring looks great! I'm glad you are ok after the storms - while we only had 2 inches, we did have localized flooding in many areas, and high winds. We were without power yesterday for about an hour, and today for another 90 minutes. Made me happy we installed the whole house generator last year. What a convenience! Connie, I always enjoy hearing about your experiments and seeing your nature excursion. Happy Easter, love, de

A cute and cheerful card! I love how the image fills up a whole 5x7 card front. The stippling is a nice effect in the grass. I'll have to remember it. Aren't those blooming trees a welcome sight! So pretty! I have no idea what those dripping trees in the swampy area are, but they're very cool looking. They look exactly like something you'd see in a swamp. I'm glad you were able to get away for a drive. It's always nice and then I love when you share. Thank you!

Oh, dearest Connie, I am so grateful to know Jesus our my Savior, and I praise God that we celebrate Resurrection Sunday...for indeed He has risen! What a beautiful card you've made with this sweet chick, and I love the sky and the grass. How wonderful that you and your hubby got away for the day and saw those stunning trees. It never ceases to amaze me at just a sneak peek of what Heaven will be like. It will be glorious, especially when we see how much beauty there is here on earth. Blessed Easter to you both, and thank you for sharing. Hugs and love! xoxo

i almost forgot about the cute card, which is perfect and adorable!!!

i was not quite sure which pictures your question was referring to...the first couple of pictures are a red bud tree, you can google it to find out why. the tree that was hanging i think that's a weeping cherry but i'm not sure. i'm not even sure you were asking that question. we had a bit of flooding in our area, but not us!!

i hope you had a nice easter!!!
