Sangchris Lake State Park

Usually we head south or west to Missouri when we go to a park but since there has been a lot of flooding in those areas we decided to check out a park we hadn't been to before, Sangchris Lake State Park. There were many areas to stop and look at the lake with nice picnic areas. I forgot to take a picture of the area where we had our picnic but this was another stop we went to.

Then we stopped where there were all kinds of geese.

They were so cute walking around.

We were heading to a different area of the park and this deer ran across the road, by the time I grabbed my camera she was running to the woods.

Then she stopped when my hubby stopped the van and she turned to look at us.

Since we have been getting so much rain, everything is so lush and green, so thankful for those days we get a break from the rain to enjoy getting out.

Thanks so much for stopping by today,
Back with a card next time,

Connie

How wonderful to get out and enjoy nature at its best. Those geese are cute and the deer is so sweet. I love that she stopped and looked at you. It is almost as if she knew you were taking a photo.

the goose family is adorable, it is that season!! i just saw a deer under the same circumstances, and it behaved the same way!!! and of course my camera was in my bag and far from my reach!!

the pictures of the deer reminded me of my aunt & uncles property in Austria where a whole family of little deer live. I always enjoy snippets of nature. thanks for sharing. <3

Thank you so much for these beautiful pictures, Connie! Lots of goslings with those geese. Love how soft they look, and I especially like the photos where they're back lit by the lake. Everything surely does look lush. What a gorgeous place!
