After our family reunion while we were in Michigan we were heading back to my brothers house where we were staying and we decided to go by our first apartment we had when we first were married. The town is right next to the town we grew up in. Our first stop was the Dam and there was a big tree that was stuck in it, they had resent flooding there too.
Then we headed to the park in town which just happens to be across the street from our old apartment. They are in the middle of building a little heritage town with old buildings from the county, these are a few of them.
We have lived all over the world being in the Air Force but we always call the place we grew up as being our home.
We have been away for another week in Minnesota this time, I haven't down loaded the pictures yet but thought I would share the pictures from Michigan first. So I will try to do that in between card postings :)
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and hope you all are well.

A lovely trip down memory lane, dear Connie. And such interesting houses to see along the way, I love a street where each home has its own character.

How fun to visit your hometown. Love the little heritage park they are building!
Hi Connie,
I've been away from blogland lately. I too was in MI! Unfortunately it was for a funeral. : / (my uncle) I enjoyed the pictures you posted here; what a lovely spot! TFS & have a blessed week~ karen o
Very quaint.
Fabulous photos Connie ... thanks so much for sharing them! Yes ... where we grow up will always be considered 'home' ... no matter where we end up! Looking forward to seeing your Minnesota photos. Your hubby (and you as well) take amazing photos ... such a talented couple! HUGS
i did not remember that you have lived all over the world, i wonder if you loved that?? as exciting as it can be, sometimes it is nice to have a real home base!
beautiful pictures but none of the apartment, is it still there??
Lovely photos, happy memories!
Beautiful pictures!
You sure did grow up in a beautiful place! It's so interesting to me to see pics of your general area because it's very different from here. All the trees look puffy with green foliage, while we have a lot of conical shaped evergreens. It's nice that they're building a heritage town in the park. Nice place to have an apartment!
