Valentine's

The next challenge was to stamp our own background for a Valentines card.  I went with an old Stampin up heart stamp and some little hearts to fill in the background from my Gina K wreath builder stamp set.

After stamping onto my red base I thought ok, now what am I going to do with this busy background, as I was looking at it I thought I could do my own heart and tie it with a string just like the background stamp I used to tie it together.

Since I had a lot of blank space on the heart I decided to add my sentiment right on the heart.

Stampin up 2004 - heart stamp with string, sorry not sure of the name
Gina K - Wreath builder stamp set ( little heart )
Spellbinders - Lace hearts die
American craft - Jute
Hot off the press - Tiny words and phrases dazzles, colored black

This is probably the earliest I have had a valentine card ready to go :)
Hope you all had a good weekend and the week ahead brings you much fun and creativity!
Thanks so much for stopping by today,
Connie

oh connie...i was going to say "valentines day, already"!!! but you are right inline with the stores. they are all decked out with their valentines decor and cards!!

the card is adorable and i like how the white heart mimics the stamped heart. do you send cards to several people or is this for the husband?!

What a darling background. Your ribbon-wrapped heart is the perfect added touch.

I love the background of this. I don’t think I would have thought to use that large heart to stamp a background but it works out great! It is a really nice Valentine.

That SU stamp looks really familiar. I must have had it at one time. I love how you made your background, and it doesn't look too busy to me at all. Good idea to tie the string on the heart and use it as your sentiment panel. Cute!
