Blues

Since I am making a lot of cards to send to people in our church and am finding it tough to think of something new each day, if I can't find a challenge I like I have been challenging myself to use items from my box of unused goodies, those things that were meant for another card but didn't end up there.

These layering stamps that I did I just wasn't happy with the way they stamped out and the colors I used but I didn't throw them away, so today's challenge make them into a card.  I decided they needed a few more flowers to go with them so I just cut out some small ones out of pattern paper to go with them, shaping them with my stylus and mat,  adding a bit of sparkle to the centers.

I didn't want them all just floating in the air so I broke out my doily die and using more paper in my scraps pile cut out the doily.  I loved how this piece of pattern paper for the background had a little square at the top, thought that was a perfect place to stamp a sentiment, worked out perfectly!

I am glad I didn't throw away these flowers, I really liked how this card came together.

Hampton Art - Flower Amaze stamp set, big blue flowers
Sizzix- Tim Holtz - small tattered flowers
BasicGrey - Periphery paper
Rectangle die - Unknown
Prima - 8 point doily die
Stamps of life = Minis  4 circles sentiment stamp
Stickles - waterfall, centers for small flowers

We haven't been to any stores in 3 weeks, today it is time to get some more groceries, I have been hearing some horror stories about shopping so I am hoping that we have a good experience getting out and about.  Hope you are all doing well and staying safe,

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and say Hi,

Connie

A doily is a beautiful way to ground flowers and this is really lovely, Connie! Glad you didn't throw away those flowers, too! I hope you had good luck at the grocery store. Hugs.

So pretty Connie. That doily die is awesome.

Indeed it must be hard to come up with fresh ideas. I will sometimes make multiples of 8 to 10 cards because it saves on the time it takes to design cards, and when measurements are needed, they are all figured out. Saves alot of time.

What you're doing with your cards are so thoughtful

This turned out so pretty! So glad you didn't toss those flowers. They're perfect on this card. I hope you had good luck shopping. Our paper goods isle and cleaning supplies are nil and have been for weeks. It's so depressing. Enjoy your outing and stay well Connie.

Your card is beautiful, Connie! I hope your shopping today goes well. The shelves here are being stocked regularly, but it looks like hurricane prepration in some areas of the stores. Take care! hugs, de
