A little while back my cardmaking group had a challenge to use ribbon on our cards, now I have not been a big user of ribbon on my cards and at the time I couldn't think of anything, well the other day I was making up some die cut layering flowers and I after I went over to my ribbon drawer to look for something and saw this ribbon I had purchased a few years ago on one of our trips, I had no idea what I would use it for but I just loved it so I picked it up, well I thought it went really well with the colors I had used on my flower so I tried to figure out a way I could use them together and this is what I came up with :)
The ribbon has that vintage feel to it so I tried to find some papers with a vintage feel to it also. To make my flower I inked up white cardstock with inks in 3 different colors before cutting the pieces out.

Gorgeous card, Connie! The die cut flower is stunning against the coordinating ribbon from years ago. I have hoards of ribbon that I just don't use. But I will "one day"
