Good Friday

I told you in my last post that hubby helped with this card.  Our friend from church lost his Dad within a month of learning he had cancer.  I was telling hubby I wanted to make him a card but just didn't know what to do.

A few years ago when hubby was going to my stamp stores with me he saw that they had some cool dies that he could create with and bought a few and made some projects with, some he saved that he didn't end up using and this piece is one he made.  Of course he doesn't save what the names of the dies he used but he remembers that this cross was made from a square background die that he cut apart to make a cross, then cut the inside squares from patterned paper that has a bit of glitter on them. He mounted it onto black card stock and used a corner punch for the corners.  All I had to do is put some foam tape on it so it pops up.  I used two different patterned papers for the background, I cut along the circles on the one piece to give it a little more than just a straight cut.

Hubby also brought out some stamps for me and some ink so that I can stamp my sentiments now :) Our living room is starting to look like a mini craft room :)

I am starting to do a little better so I was able to go in and take my own pictures of my cards.

May we all take time today to remember the gift of our lives that Jesus gave us when he died on the cross for our sins.  All we need to do now is believe in him and we will be saved!!

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,

Connie

What a wonderful card that you and your hubby made. Aren't we both so very fortunate that our husbands take an interest in crafting too.
