In my stamp group our Christmas challenge for the month of April was to use some kind of fibers on our card, we could use floss ribbons jute anything like that, well I went with lace and ribbons to make these trees.
I first painted some popsicle sticks brown for the trunk of the trees and then cut my lace and ribbons, sewed the strips to buttons and then glued them onto the stick.
I had these big snowflake stickers so I mounted them onto the back of kraft cardstock for my background. The buttons I found at a flea market.
The second I tried to use different green ribbons I had in my stash, along with some green buttons, and I used the last of this snowflake background stickers I had.
I am not to sure I like how straight I cut this tree, I may have to go in and try to do some trimming so it isn't so exactly straight, just afraid of ruining it after all that work.
I am slowly getting caught up on my Christmas cards that I want to get done ahead of time.
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,
Connie

Connie, All of these are so cute. I love that you used the brown Popsicle sticks as the base for your trees. All the different elements are so pretty!
All three trees are splendid. I rather love the lace one.
So clever and unique! Love the 2nd ribbon one!

Oh, gosh, these are cute and what a great way to use some ribbon and lace! I always say I'm going to work on that, but it rarely happens. Hey, you got some Christmas cards done, too!
