Wish upon a star

I am using a set of stamps I have used a few times before, I think I have used it mostly for teens but I think it would work for anyone. I have fussy cut the fox and added him to the background I inked, and then added the stamped stars with white embossing powder.

  • Lawn Fawn - Upon a Star stamp set, inked background, colored fox w/markers and white heat embossed with white embossing powder of the stars
  • Distress inks - Faded Jeans, Black soot and Dusty concord for the sky, Forest moss for ground

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,

Connie

You have such an artistic eye Connie. And I love when you do cards this way and give them such a layered look with dimension from the fox...and the stars standing out. This card is so sweet and another one of my faves you've done. 💗
PS: I'm planning to post about my blogaversary tomorrow so please come check it out as I'd love to add you to the list! :)

Your card is perfect for a teen and anyone else too! The little fox is adorable. Nice job on the fussy cutting. I would like to share my tip for fussy cutting when I like to try to cut along the black stamped lines. Once you're done cutting, take the belly (the widest part) of a black marker and run it along the edges where you cut. It will hide any white that still shows and it will make it look like you are the best fussy cutter in town! And you don't have to be as careful cutting anymore, it won't show!

Awww, sweet! I love how you inked the night sky and, of course, the little fox is adorable. You know I love the critters. I'm still hopelessly behind and have to be quick, but I have admired your previous two cards as well. One day maybe I'll get caught up.

The inked sky feels wonderfully atmospheric, and the blend of Faded Jeans, Black Soot, and Dusty Concord creates such a rich sense of depth. The little fox looking upward adds a gentle, hopeful mood, and your fussy cutting gives him a crisp presence against the background. The white‑embossed stars are the perfect finishing touch, catching the light just enough to make the whole scene feel magical.
