Healing Presence

I started following Marta on you tube after I started making my junk journals, you can find her HERE . She has some really interesting things she makes and is fun to watch her mind at work. She also sells books here in America on Amazon, and I loved her art work so I bought one.  The artwork did not disappoint, a lot of it is very big, but some can be used on an A2 size card like the one I am sharing today for my friend who had knee surgery recently.  The paper is very thin so fussy cutting this image out was a bit harder for me but I am thinking she goes with the thinner paper because that works better in journals, so that it doesn't take up as much room.

  • Marem's Collectanea ephemera book, by Marta Lapkoswka, bought from Amazon, fussy cut
  • Tim Holtz - Crochet die
  • ODBD - All Occassions sentiment stamp set

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,

Connie

What a lovely get well card. I love that the flower is big and bold and it fits that pretty gold edging. 💗

If your gorgeous card is any indication, the book must be a joy to look through. The flower, crochet edge, and background paper are all such a lovely combination.

I love how you added the border on the left to the beautiful ephemera image. It gave it a more vintage look and it brought out the bits of yellow in the flower. Nice job. I have to add (again) that I love opening your blog and seeing that cute snowman standing alone in the field/yard. It makes me smile every time I see it.

Her books are also available here. I'm still hesitating because I don't even know which one to buy first!
Your card looks beautiful; you've made the flower the highlight.

The way you paired that bold floral image with the delicate crochet border creates such a graceful balance. The soft background tones let the flower take center stage, and the vintage feel that comes through is really special. This is such a comforting and uplifting design for someone recovering.

That's a beautiful floral image, very pretty! Hope your friend is on the mend! I wonder of you adhered the thin image to some thin card stock first or even some Vellum, maybe that would make it easier to fussy cut.

Wow, you fussy cut that gorgeous flower? You did an amazing job on that! Your card is so very pretty. The crochet along the side adds a nice touch to complete the look.
