Window card

My cardmaking groups challenge for this month is to make a window card, I was trying to think if I had made one before but am not sure.  I saw a card using a branch with a window and as much as I searched I can not find where I saw that, to link to it, maybe it was in a magazine, I don't know.

I used the Memory Box Woodland branch die
Spellbinder Square die for the opening

Inkadinkado Silhouesttes stamp set for the bird, stamped his feet on the branch and then stamped the body onto white paper and colored him in with Tim Holtz marker, and used dimension adhesive to pop him up.

The leaves are from a fall foliage garland

Martha Stewart fence border punch
Hero Arts Birthday Messages stamps for sentiment

Here is another picture, I tried to hold it closed with a paper clip so you can see how the branch is cut apart in three sections, so when it is closed it looks like one continous branch but didn't succeed to well, but I think you can get the idea :)

As simple as this is it ended up being one of my favorite cards.

Thanks so much for taking the time out to stop by,
Connie

Thinking of you

A girl at church was cleaning out her craft room and gave me a gallon size Ziploc bag of stamps, vellum sticker sentiment packs, leaves, markers and charms.  She said if I wanted to thank her instead of giving her a thank you card she was wondering if I would make her a couple cards to give to people, so this is the first one I made.

Creative Imagination paper
Cuttlebug Birds and Swirls Embossing Folder (raised areas colored with chalks)
Tulip Fashion Pink Bead Paint
Spellbinder Labels Nine and Ribbon Tags Trio
Stampendous Orchid Greetings stamp set for Sentiment

Lace from stash

Our Church is redoing the whole Childrens wing of our church, moving classrooms and the nursery around and today my hubby and I are going in to lay carpet squares and do touch up painting, it is coming along so neat and the people of the church are doing as much of the work as we can to save money so that has worked out very good.

Hope your week is going well,
Thanks so much for stopping by,

Cars, planes and boats

This is for my 2 year old great nephew.  I need to get some more young kids stamps, but that is just something I am not drawn to when shopping for stamps.

I used Sassafras --Apple Jack paper

Studio G images and sentiments stamps, the images were colored with markers, did a little inking around the edges with dried marigold distress ink

Marvy square punch

Emerald green  Liquid pearls under the sentiment

We recieved a little more rain last night which was good timing because my pepper plants were in need of some more water, they are starting to slow down in the amount I am getting... the season is coming to an end.  We are suppose to have cool temps (in the 70's) for at least the next week, that sounds marvelous :)

Hope you all are enjoying your time and weather, Have a GREAT weekend,
Thanks so much for stopping by,

Northwoods

This is one of the stamps I picked up at the Boston area rubber stamp store I went to.  It is a Northwoods stamp but it doesn't have a name on it.  It was colored with distress and Copic markers.

DCWV Old World Stack paper, the image has been mounted onto Black cardstock.

I used the  fine tip of the distress markers to add greens and oranges to the trees for leaves.

Spellbinder Ribbon Tags Trio die, the right end has been cut off

Hero Arts-- Birthday messages stamp set

Ribbon and twine

Oh how I am enjoying these nice cool mornings, yesterday it got up into the high 80's and is suppose to be that way again today but at least it starts off cool.  Next week we will be in the 70's and that is my favorite weather :-)

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking the time out to comment, it is much appreciated!

Fishing

I also had this card done before we left for our trip, I think I did it the night before in fact, that is why I used an image from my Print Artist CD, alot quicker than coloring an image.
My nephew is getting married next weekend also, so he has alot of celebrating this month :)

I used Cosmo Crickets Flueriste Paper pad, the sentiment is also from that paper pad

Twine is from my LSS.

Spellbinder Deckle Rectangle die

It is hard to see but I did a layer under the image in which I used EK Success's corner punch

Bronze Pearl Pen for the corner framing of the image

We have enjoyed Beautiful temps the last few days, have been able to have the doors and windows open, I love it!!! It looks like the temps will be going back into the high 80's  in a couple days so I am enjoying every bit of this weather I can, hope you have had a great start to your week also.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and leave your sweet comments,
Connie

I'm Back

We arrived back yesterday from our trip out to Boston to move our daughter and son in law out there to continue their education and get their masters degrees.  It was so good to be able to see where they are living now and where they will be going to school and working but that was the hardest thing to leave her out there, but I was able to adjust to her going away to college and I am sure in time I will adjust to her being over a thousand miles away.  We drove there in two days but we took 3 days to get home and that was alot better, I just can't stand to be in a car as long as I use to when I was younger.

We did make a stop at a Scrapbooking store in the Boston area and I got some more goodies to play with :)

On to my card, I had this one done by the time I left so that was nice.  This one went to my great nephew, turning 7 I believe.

I used the Dimple Street gang sticker, the water paper behind him is from the DCWV travel scrapbooking kit.
Spellbinder die for framing
October Afternoon- Seaside paper for the background stripes.
Martha Stewarts Sansserif font letters stamps for "make a"
Hero Arts mixed letters stamps for the splash

Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you have a great weekend!
