Shaker card

The next challenge was to make a shaker card, I have been trying to use the Queen & Co. shaker forms that I bought awhile back and I don't seem to have good luck with them, the last one and this one didn't come out very well and I think it is because they don't keep their form well, let's just say they aren't for me.

I went with a bench scene because this is going to a local friend so I can hand deliver the card, no worry about postage and she has just bought a new bench that she is excited to put in her backyard as she likes to sit out there when she lets her dogs out to play.

I used very small beads for the shaker part and when I took a picture of them through the acetate they seemed to make it look blurry.  I used distress inks for the ground and sky and then colored the bench die cut and the bird is part of the die.  I added some prima flowers and a die cut vine to it. The sentiment was stamped onto the scalloped circle, adding a few nuvo drops and I called it done :)

As you can see all my beads almost go out of view when the card is standing

Darice - Bench die
Queen & co. - rectangle pop ups
Distress inks for background
Poppystamps - Climbing vine die
Prima flowers
Spellbinders - Lacey circle die and Special birthday sentiment stamp
Nuvo glitter drops -- Golden Sunset, in flower centers

The rain has stopped and the sun is trying to peak out, still wonderful temperature out there, everyone at church today was commenting how nice it was to have that heat and humidity gone for at least a little while :)

Hope you are enjoying a blessed Sunday,
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by once again,

Connie

I have not heard of a shaker card. I love those bright and happy pink and white polka dots. This card oozes such fun and delight. So glad for you that the rain didn't turn into something serious.

Sometimes I forget how fun shaker cards are because I hardly ever make one. Love all the polka dots on this and the pretty flowers growing up the side. It's so nice to have a bench in the garden. I'm planning to add more. Thinking the deer can't eat a bench, sheesh.

Love your shaker card, Connie. I am terrible at making those. I need to watch some how to videos because mine just do not turn out well.
