I have heard this fold called many things but in my group challenge she called it Curtain call. The link I looked at that she provided I messed up the first card and cut the drape wrong, but I didn't think it looked to bad if you didn't know how it should look, LOL! So I made it anyway, another thing I did wrong was I used a coloring calendar image and I was supposed to use a stamp, so I had to make another card, this time I decided to use a butterfly all over print but once again cut it wrong and the butterflies would be upside down so I still had to use the green polka dot side of the paper as I used in my first card.
Here is a link to the measurements, I have spent the last 20 minutes trying to find the youtube I found since I am a visual learner and I can not find it.
I used a scrap piece for my background and to stamp the butterfly onto. I don't know the maker of the butterfly it is a very old stamp and I threw away the packaging. I think the sentiment is from a cardmaking magazine but there is no name on that either.
Echo park - Find and Dandy paper (green polka dot)
Butterfly and sentiment stamps, unknown
Recollection- Lace
Fashion bead paint - pink
I thought I would share my boo boo card.
I guess it gave me more room for a bigger sentiment in the opening. I used a Cheerful Journey coloring calendar image and used markers on it.
Thanks so much for stopping by today, Hope your week is off to a good start,
Connie

LOL ...don't feel bad! I struggle with this sort of thing too ... I think I made ONE of these cards ... did it wrong and just gave up!! LOL But you've inspired me and I'll give it another go!
These are both so cute! What fun creations! Stay warm ... FREEZING COLD here in NE Ohio ... going to be breaking record lows over the next few days ... Brrr! Come on Springtime!!
I like that folded curtain look, they both turned out cute. I adore that dog stamp-- hysterical!
I have days like that too! That being said - I like how both cards turned out! The dog image is cute and fun and the butterfly (with lace!!) is elegant! Love the fun fold across the bottom!
Oh I love that pleat, it adds so much texture and interest to an already pretty card! Well done!
These are wonderful, Connie! I have not made a curtain card yet - thank you for reminding me about it. Both pretty, and cute, yur creations show how different things look with minor changes! Beautiful cards! hugs, de
Look at all these adorable cards you make! so cute. You're so talented. I love them all. Are you ready for the cold freezing weather? So horrible! but then again I live in CA and the coldest it gets where I live is maybe 21 F. Stay warm! Hugs
Super cute!My fav is the second card, such fun!
Gosh, I think you've done these well.
That second one is just so cute, I love it.
Hard to believe it's Wednesday tomorrow, these weeks fly past so quickly. Many areas of the UK have snow … the grandchildren are hoping to build snowmen, but I'm not too sure if there area will get snow … we shall see.
Take care, my good wishes.
All the best Jan
Well I think your "boo boo" card is magical, Connie....sweet little puppies. Love the pretty pink/mauve butterfly resting on the green drape paper.Pink and mauve and green play so nicely together, don't they.
Connie, that is so fancy! Love the way it looks. Good for you for figuring out the measurements! I'd be lost.
Your boo boo card looks good to me! You know I love those funny and, oh, so cute dogs! Both cards have beautiful "curtains" and I think you could do the fold any way you want to.
Love this card and have made a few like it, and yes it can be frustrating if the measurements are a tad out of whack, great result.xx
How cute!! Love the puppy.
Love these two adorable cards! The first card uses a gorgeous DP in green with that pop of pink/burgundy. Very nice.
Your second card uses adorable, adorable dogs. That stamp is adorable. I wouldn't call it a boo boo card. The pleats still look terrific.
Have a great day, and stay warm!
Connie has very suggestive ideas. Continue to show us. Good work!
both cards are great but the boo boo card, wow, that is so adorable!!!
i am a visual learner too and often use youtube, even to refresh my memory on stitches and techniques i already know!!
Both your cards are wonderful! I have to say, that when I was looking at all the different directions for this technique, I thought to myself that it must be that it was too annoying to figure out other peoples measurements so they just made up their own. I think all the ways look good.
TFS!
Connie, both cards look great! I love the pleated pattern used. I agree with Heidi about the directions for this fold. SCS has a tutorial for it and once used it as a challenge. It was confusing so I made my own tutorial. LOL Hugs!
Another awesome technique Connie. It's a great way of using up your pattern papers. The butterfly is lovely with the pretty lace!
